What did he do with the napkin???
ОтветитьWorked! Thanks😊
ОтветитьGood idea. I hate the rust. I have bern thinking abour yhe easiest way to remove it.
ОтветитьOoh really?
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьThx soo much. Key you educated me about that worked was the toilet paper soak for 3 hrs. Been bugging me since I bought my place and now toilet’s like new!
Ответитьdoes it work with regular white vinegar ? I tried it and did not work. is only on the rims not where the water sits so theres no point on draining it i feel
ОтветитьNaturally. I'm so sick of that word.
ОтветитьWhat kind of vinegar should i use?
ОтветитьThanks, Karl. I was hoping to avoid toxic stuff like muriatic acid, and you've shown me better, and cheaper, solution.
ОтветитьHow did you get the water out the bowl?
Ответитьty
ОтветитьI used a half a gallon of vinegar with a bottle brush. Took about 30 minutes of constantly splashing the solution around with the brush. Got rid of about 90%. It could have be the vinegar is being diluted by the rust. Going to try again with a fresh solution to get that last 10%
ОтветитьYou mentioned muriatic acid in another comment. Any chance of this "etching" the porcelain or glaze and making it worse?
ОтветитьI was trying to figure out how to get the acid to stay in contact with the stain... toilet paper... that is BRILLIANT!!
ОтветитьVinegar takes longer... They sell stronger formulations. I have a bottle of 45% vinegar I use for killing weeds. I wonder if that would be safe on a toilet surface, and alot faster?
ОтветитьHow to remove rust from inside of tank of toilet. The bolts rust
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьYou didn't say how long you soaked the bowl for or if there was any scrubbing involved. Also how can I tell the difference between rust stains and regular toilet stains since bleach can remove regular toilet stains but will set rust stains in
ОтветитьThis doesn't work on the worst stains. I let my whole bowl soak in vinegar for 10+ hours and then scrub. I still have a ring around where the water line normally is, and the stains down in the very bottom where you're showing stains is also immovable. The rest of the bowl does get clean though. It's like I need to scrub with steel wool or something.
ОтветитьThanks 🙏
Clear and concise!
Good video. Short, precise and helpful. Approximately how many cls. of vinegar did you use?
ОтветитьThat was disgusting yet so informative. Thank you for this. Any idea how to deal with rug fringes? 🤔
