Growing unemployment will ripple across the economy in such a way that the consumer base shrinks, and less wealth is created. Can't be a good outcome.

I just read my entire blood work with the help of AI, markers are optimal according to funcional medicine, except Ferritin which is extremely low (specially now in perimenopause) but my convencional doctor overlooked it and didn't care at all. Well, bye doctor

Wait a minute, so "He is worried", but "He is also the owner of it", great ad. I'm using the AI tools every day, Its already changed the industry of how we know it. The point of automation replacing employees is not something new. It started decade ago and now is not much different. The whole problem is the less investment in Education, rather in Startups. Startups create "Automation tools" intending to reduce cost of employment, Education instead, produce smart people, which can increase human intelligence. Humanity shifts into the wrong direction. Finding people job, should be the target, otherwise, we would find ourself in a trouble after few years.

Watching this, I can’t help but think back to my time producing TV ads in the 1980s. I did it all—writing scripts, creating campaigns, filming, editing. The scriptwriting especially took time and creativity. If I had AI back then, I could’ve produced way more.

But I don’t think AI would’ve taken away my creativity. Just like switching from a typewriter to a Mac didn’t make me less creative—it just made things faster and easier. Same here. I’d still be guiding the message, shaping the tone, overseeing the process. AI wouldn’t replace me—it would amplify what I could do.

Unemployment is an odd concept in an economy where for so many folks it’s necessary to work multiple jobs just to get by. Loose one and you’re counted as employed but suddenly don’t have enough money to live.

When young adults find themselves in a situation where a higher level education has become pointless, the entire system will crumble. What happens next is anyone's guess but it will likely lead to a very dark time for human civilization. We are literally replacing the need for our own existence. It's not just the jobs that will be gone, but also the need to educate ourselves beyond an 8th grade education, it will be pointless. Why would we spend 20+ years in school to learn what AI can do in seconds? Even the brightest students will have no chance of competing. Only extremely specialized jobs will survive AI and they will become scare very quickly.

It’s funny to see companies planning other people’s demise while eventually becoming victims of their own actions. If and when AI does attain its own conscience, it will most likely not heed to any human intervention.

The lines of code it was built with, it will go ahead and make it itself more capable by rebuilding its own source code , and it will learn all the bad and good of the world due to the massive data on the internet. It will be too late to perhaps unplug the systems unless the entire world goes on a blackout. The future is not looking promising because man will destroy what man built for their convenience in the name of convenience.

Ay-Eye is definitely changing everything quickly. I went to school from Fall 2008 to December 2018 to study animation. I worked at Brazen for a short contract in April 2019. I worked at P!xar as an intern in Summer 2019, which was the most amazing experience of my life so far. I got lucky and worked at Deck Nine from December 2021 to May 2023 as a junior animator. There was a mass layoff. Even one of my teachers from the university was laid off while he was working at the same game company as me. I've been dealing with dizziness since February 2023. I just had surgery in April 2025, and my family had to help me pay for it because I'm literally running out of money. I still do gameplay videos on multiple pages and sites, but I haven't had access to Maya in years because I used to work with the student license, so I haven't been doing any animation videos online. In a few weeks, I will try to find a job doing car detailing or something. I'm a 1990s kid. I grew up during the legendary days of Dragon Ball Z, Toonami, and Power Rangers. I don't recommend anyone go into animation, films, games, or technology industries right now unless you are learning Ay-Eye. It's not worth it. You will be miserable.

Interesting how many people think that this will affect only low paid jobs when in reality the AI already started replacing mid-high paid jobs in digital technology like fraud prevention, banking, marketing, even medical environment.
So at the end the companies are shooting themselves in the foot by saving on wages, when the consumer purchase power collapse then companies are going down with it 🤷🏼‍♂️

"people have adapted to past technological changes. but i'll say again... this technological change looks different. it looks faster, it looks harder to adapt to, it's broader..."

could this be something like any technological change so far was commented? did people say "this time it is completely different" several times? isnt it clear, that from the rear view mirror former technological changes always look not so different, not so fast, not so un-adaptable than the current one? isnt this also proof how technological changes are of course adaptable so far? that, by time, they look and have become 'regular'?

isnt all that way of talking about it a hint that and how we humans have difficulties with change? isn't it not the change the problem but our way of dealing with change?

isnt the question then: how can AI become less dangerous for us, but how can we become better in dealing with change? and on this way how can AI become a support for us on this way?

isnt then every single word of concern, of fear as dangerous as the thing itsself? wouldnt it be better to bring up actual ideas how to productively integrate the new technology instead of such doomsday thoughts?
