Remember when Conan used to make fun of Arnie and ridiculed him for being horrible governor, shameless self-promoter and sexual predator? I enjoyed that much more than when he drools all over him like in this inverview.

I agree with Conan's praise of Arnold speaking out about political matters and discussing his "bipartisan" approach to being Governor but Arnold's "praise" for Nixon and Reagan gave me whiplash. The "War on Drugs", deregulation, Reaganomics, and general political history have shown how flawed the policies of both those presidents were. /shrug

I don’t know why but when I hear someone say ‘for democracy’ I am put off! That along with ‘patriotism’, immediately reminding me of Samuel Johnson.

How about an Amendment that enacts a referendum to override the clause. If he gets 2/3 of the popular vote (no electoral college), he can run. Failing that, he'd make a great addition to the Senate (while displacing a GOP bootlicker). He has a place in Sun Valley. He could revert Idaho to ordinary republicanism and save it from the malignant cancer of trumpism.

I love Arnold, but while his position in the Russian-Ukrainian was from the heart, as we can see with the recent events, it was pretty wrong. I'm sorry to be candid, but while I love Arnold as I said, he was a tank driver in the German army, and he has had nazi connections with many of his friends (you can look it up, it's real and it was all over the newspapers some years ago). While we have nazis living in here in Canada, Arnold might be the most popular and successful person with nazi inclinations in the world.
Please don't get me wrong, I love him as an actor and a movie star, he is an inspiration and an absolute legend, but facts are facts and life is pretty cruel and absurd sometimes, and most of all, life is not fair. Amazing interview.

I respect Arnold for his accomplishments and his level-headed views, but I find it hard to respect his look. He has a totally gray beard and eyebrows, but above his ears there's not a single gray hair? C'mon, gimme a break. What overpaid PR person told him that looked good? In order to be taken seriously, it helps to LOOK realistic.

I know this guy is all about positivity and having a vision, I just don't see it: when about half of the people vote for people, that according to this and according to even big figures from their own party say "they don't really believe in the constitution", then where to go from there? how would you catch those people? and more importantly: how would bipartisanship be possible when half of the house is not willing to stand of the same foundation (of constitution and democracy) then the other?

People criticizing Arnold for looking up to Reagan don't seem to understand why he does. Reagan unified the country at the time. That is what he admires and is all about. He also grew up with Reagan and most people who did feel similarly.
