Do i need to prime before painting a plastic model and do you need to varnish the model after painting to protect against chipping? Or pealing? If so. What to use?
I'm having problems with paint chipping off my models after painting and can't get them to stick to the plastic! If you know please help!
Uh confused. So just getting into models, what is this pencil numbers? Is this a regular pencil like number 2? or are these special art pencils. I never heard of 4B before. Is it graphite?
ОтветитьGOODNESS!!!!
BRILLIANT!~!!!!
This is amazing!
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьGreat tip.👍👍👍
ОтветитьThis is a lifesaver!
ОтветитьDamn thats smart. So this works well with Laquer paints? Thinking of going Tamiya
ОтветитьAntes de utilizar el lápiz, la maqueta está barnizada?

The "time to usefulness" ratio of this video is beyond limits.
ОтветитьThis blew my mind. Been messing around with enamels disastrously 😅
Ответитьyou can also get a bit of interest by lightly dry brushing a light colour onto each panel by really jamming a big soft brush around it. It creates a sort of circular gradient that makes each panel stand out
ОтветитьI’ve been getting into models lately, this is a great tutorial!! I have seen other ways but this is really good for beginners
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I do as a hand painter of models 😁
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьI just realised that Owen's technique of using cotton buds to remove panel paint could be used in reverse to apply diluted paint to achieve mottling.
Thankyou!
THANK YOU FOR THISSSS!!!!!!! I've looking for this kind of technique..
ОтветитьWorked for me and I use Airbrush, this is some dope advice, I'm building my first kit (gunpla) and forgot to do shading, some of the best advice you can have right here!
ОтветитьQuick, and to the point! Great results too. I’m building Mavericks F14 over the aggressor as in the opening scenes of Top Gun. My comfort zone is commercial aircraft, but your system of pre shading looks so easy and to the point that my next military model, I’ll definitely give it a try. Thanks!
Ответитьtalk about easy
ОтветитьShort and sweet. Easy as all get out. I will be using this tip very soon. Thank you.
ОтветитьOooooo
ОтветитьMan this trick is great. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьI just can't decide whether I agree with pre shading . Did aeroplanes really look like this or is this some form of artistic impressionism ? It seems that modelling has become bound up in it's own rules and conventions and that process is taking over from pleasure .
ОтветитьHow do you do this on flat black paint?
ОтветитьExcellent video, very informative.
ОтветитьWow, I've never come across such a brief, but helpful and accurate video on modelling!
ОтветитьGreat vid gonna have to try this
ОтветитьIt’s always so much easier on the video. I tried, didn’t work.
ОтветитьDoes 2B pencil work?
ОтветитьThis is a great piece of advice!
ОтветитьSubscribed
ОтветитьBrilliant !
ОтветитьCan I still do this if I use lacquers like mr color instead of enamels?
ОтветитьGreat idea. Thanks you.
ОтветитьFANTASTIC tip for non airbrushers.
little question: the q-tip you use to blush the pencil lines is wet or dry? :)
Time to give it a go
ОтветитьHoly crap he wasn’t lying abt quick tips
ОтветитьYeeees thank you
ОтветитьWow that was easy I'm doing this now
ОтветитьShort and sweet, very neat. well done
Ответитьbrilliant
ОтветитьI'm just painting black lines over the panel lines and it works
ОтветитьGreat short video. Can't wait to try this. Do you have one on chipping?
ОтветитьWhat an excellent concise tutorial. Trying on a spitfire this week 👍 (perfect lockdown distraction !)
ОтветитьBe careful doing this with acrylic paint guys! You can accidentally scrape it off!
ОтветитьI have tried this method, but when I use the pencil on my acrylic paint, the paint already on the model is just scraped off by the pencil. What can I do?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing the method! Did you dip the cotton bud in water or is it dry?
Ответитьwell shit its actually that simple! thanks man! gonna try this
