I’m twelve, so I have such a hard time finding vintage in my size
ОтветитьBeautifully done!
ОтветитьI just love this outfit!
ОтветитьMy trick for trousers is to buy a size a bit bigger and use a tighter belt.
ОтветитьAny fellow large chested ladies find that bullet bras make you look as wide as a linebacker? I love them on other people but feel like I look crazy .
Ответить"Basically I'm wearing my grandma's clothes. No regrets though!"
Same girl, same. ♡
I’ve been watching Karolina’s videos for a bit now, the ones before and during her time in Edinburgh, and then the ones after and her newest videos and it’s amazing to see how in the beginning she seems really unsure of herself and what she’s doing but in her newer videos she’s still the same person but she seems much more sure of herself and confident in the quality and content of her videos. Whether she actually is or not I don’t know, but I think it’s cool to see a creator’s growth through their content! 😊
ОтветитьI don't know if others have the same problem but for me authentic vintage clothes are often way too small in so many ways. I'm not even overweight just built like a tank (at least compared to people in old times lol). I mean: my back and shoulders are too wide, my arms too thick, my hips and waist too big. Sometimes I look at the waistlines on pants and dresses and wonder how can it fit on anyone. I guess food shortages/poor nutrition and manual labor help ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ОтветитьIn case no one cracked the pants issue I live where there are a lot of Chinese people and shops and they wear basic slacks for women that are complete replicas of vintage pants from the 40s. If you don’t live near a Chinatown then try to order pants from china
ОтветитьEvery one always says to look in thrift shops but I hardly find anything in thrift shops. Everything is very 80s+ in my area. I wish I found things like you do in thrift shops.
ОтветитьYarn is the word you're looking for. Yarn and needles. You use them to knit sweaters. :) All the luck to you for knitting. I could never get the hang of it.
ОтветитьDon't you hate it when on one hand you want to look like you're in the land army, but you also want to look like an edgy punk kid, but you also really like grunge, but you also want to look like a fortune teller......... Hi
Ответить🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
ОтветитьHello! I’m a 16 year old and I’ve been dying to get into a vintage lifestyle. I really want to go for the 40s era. Does anyone know where I could learn more about that time?
Ответитьanyone never have found an old pic when your grandma was younger and she looks stunning.
Wearing your grandma's clothes isn't bad idea.
That sad moment when you try to buy used vintage on places like eBay or PoshMark and they're all more expensive than brand new, vintage styled clothing.
ОтветитьI wish my grandmother had kept clothes and accessories from her youth. Shes a minimalist type and regularly throws things away. She kept her childhood toys and a few things from her parents which she has given me but nothing wearable accept two or three items of costume jewellery belonging to her mother, most in need of repair, but I still feel lucky to have them
ОтветитьWait, chosen decade? I have to choose a decade?!
Jk, jk Lol I fluctuate between the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s in my aesthetic and then a random day of medieval clothes.
What a found very interesting is that back in my home country Angola (Africa) we found a lot but a lot of vintage clothes. Super cheap. Got me some beautiful skirts. Can’t wait to go back and buy a whole luggage of it 🥰
ОтветитьI was shopping at a thrift shop once, and I got a beautifull 90 DOLLAR petticoat for 5 DOLLARS
Thrift shops are just queen
the oldest clothing I can buy in my area are from 2010 :(
ОтветитьYou're gorgeous
ОтветитьIs the first background music George Formby? If so, what song?
ОтветитьHahahaha. You have super pale skin color ma'am, I thought your chin disappeared half of the video. (its the lighting I know) your too pretty not to notice.
ОтветитьIt's knitting in english. You'll need more yarn than that for a sweater tho😂
ОтветитьYou could do ASMR Fashion
ОтветитьI love wearing men’s 1900 fashion, (obvs a bit modernized tho.) but I also wear sweet lolita.
The duality of man. :I
Am I’m the only one not into vintage clothes sitting here looking at every video taking notes in my mental notebook ???
ОтветитьDoes this apply to men's clothing as well?
ОтветитьIn England it’s a ball of yarn and knitting needles, people knit with it and it’s typically a grandma thing 😂
🧶
Btw the K in knit is silent
Those are called Knitting needles, I actually learned to knit while working at my local historic site
ОтветитьThe issue I have is that my favourite style is the 1850's lmao, no idea how to make that work in a modern way :( I also like the 1950's, but the oldest items you can find where I live at maybe the 1990's. I also can't wear my grandmas old clothes as she lives in Iran, and I also don't know if that is a style I'd like. Maybe someday I can ask her for some old pieces of hers!
ОтветитьI got married in my grandmas 1960s wedding dress unaltered, grandma had style!
Ответитьare here some people from 2021? i started wtaching ALL of Karolinas videos hehehe
ОтветитьI love how blunt you are .. it's super great. Thanks for this ... I love thrift stores !!! And 2nd hand shops !!!
ОтветитьIf you didn't live all the way around the world I would be asking you on a date right now. Great taste in clothing 😍 I'm a 1920s fan myself. Vintage souls gotta stick together!
Ответитьbest wishes ma'am. wish you the best and i hope your life exceeds your expectations. peace and love.
ОтветитьI don't know where did you find those vintage second hand shops in Poland, but I feel like they are sooo rare :(
ОтветитьSometimes we know, but understand that poor people deserve nice things too.
ОтветитьYou look super lovely and cute in this video! The hair and makeup are perfect and the raspberry shirt matches the lipstick.
ОтветитьThis works in GB but try that in Austria. It's just sh* clothes with higher price Tags.. totally mixed and there are not really lots of them where i live. It always depends on where you live. It is almost impossible to find something if you have also no clue what Vintage is or means.
ОтветитьAre there reputable online vintage sites or vintage brands which can be recommended?
ОтветитьCan I ask what is your job? Do you work in fashion or history?
ОтветитьYour cat can text?
Ответить🧚
ОтветитьNot trying to be rude, but sew not sue.
ОтветитьHave you been to the Tatra Mountains?
