NZ highly over rated and delivers very little. Only big headed Kiwis try to portray a better picture. Cost of living outrageous. Salaries/wages are soo poor many families have 2 or more jobs. Secondary tax is then a problem. 37% PAYE? What’s the incentive? Zero! Rather bludge from the Govt. They give freely to these groups of people so they don’t have to work. NZ has a full blown Apartheid System - brought in by Ardern and her fellow communist parliamentarians. NZ meat and food etc exported to other countries is cheaper and better quality there than in NZ? WTF? How does that work? Houses, mortgage rates, household appliances and furniture overpriced and most Kiwis are up to their eyeballs in debt. I suppose when most Kiwis employ the motto “ How do I fuck the next Kiwi today so I can benefit financially” what do you have? A selfish nation that represents a shithole.

Just back from a 2 week junket to NZ. I was amazed in Wellington when visiting the capitol building ( the Bee Hive ) on a rainy Sunday , there was not even 1 security person around. Well manicured beautiful botanical gardens that were nearly deserted were something to behold. As for it being expensive?.. Well yeah it is more expensive than say Thailand/Philippines, but on par with major cities in Australia or the USA or Japan.

Nz born and lived there for 27 years. Lived in three countries now. Currently in Canada. New Zealand is where my heart is and I can’t wait to move back Canada is not it. The main problem I’ve always had with nz which is why I left twice, is the people. People are arrogant ignorant and aggressive. The average population doesn’t leave New Zealand so have no idea how the actual world is so they take nz for granted and constantly complain about everything but will never do anything to even try and change their lives. I’ve never travelled or lived anywhere else that has such a heightened sense of entitlement. I miss my country but I hate the general population. Low education rates and a general toxic culture. People often ask why I left such a beautiful place. And simply it’s the culture. It sucks.

Used to be amazing. Not anymore. It's so over priced having any sort of good standard of living is very hard now a "cheap" house is a million dollars. Food is astronomical. Fuel too! Taxes... Gang issues galore. The last 6 years under a Labour government has seen a HUGE decline in the country. For the first time is my life I have considered moving out of New Zealand.

After having traveled around the world and having lived in many other countries, I have lived in many places in NZ for 11 years, and now live in the far north which is definitely not subtropical. It's just the least cold part of NZ. The sea water is ice cold an I wouldn't swim in it for 11 months of the year. My home has been completely gutted and burgeled by a Maory gang and I have lost everything I owned. I know who did it, the police knows excactly who did it, but justice does nothing about it.
It has been cold and rainy for 2 years now! Summer is shit, winter even worse.
Yes, Nature is beautiful, but there are lots of other countries where nature is beautiful.
The thing is that, apart from nature ( by the way poluted for the most part), there is not much else. It's a young country so no architecture and no culture, unless your life is all about rugby and hakka.
No great food markets with healthy local produce (unless you live in Auckland) only 3 very expensive supermarkets that are all hand in hand and sell shit food There is no cultural life, no nightlife.
Shops close at 4 or 5, and town centers are dead in the weekends and evenings.
I am 56 years old and bored to death here and are looking to relocate elsewhere before I die from missery.

My source of proof is from a young direct dedcendant of Moriori from Chatham islands whom i met at a hospital in Christchurch in 2013 - and since neither Maori nor Moriori had written language their historied are handed down by word of mouth from generation to generation - this young Moriori i met has made a lifelong study of the history of his people so he knows the "facts" like the back of his hands. Another quick correction: there are military bases including spy and communication stations in NZ that would def be targeted in any conflict involving Australia/Canada/UK and America.

Scratch the surface of any heirarchy in NZ - whether it be local councils, national govts or any strata of the private sector and you will uncover corruption in all forms pretty easily.
