@Tom-nc5qv Yeah, and Mark Hamill is also in a band Called ABBA with Travis Tritt…
ОтветитьYour natural talking voice sounds alot like jon bon jovi 🤣nice vid very helpful
ОтветитьYou think Chester Bennington was doing it wrong since his voice got noticeably weaker over time and tiny? I think he had to get surgery don’t at one point but I forget.
Your distortion voice is really good when doing that Bryan Adams song. That’s almost exactly the tone I’d go for in distortion, very musical sounding like a guitar over driving the tubes.
now thats unfair. even your talking voice is amazing....
besides that, nice coaching. Very helpful!
completely unrelated, but this reminds me a little bit of how when a lot of people try to imitate that "old timey" Southern accent, particularly a nonrhotic variety (no R's after vowels), there's a tendency to go waaay to whispy and let too much air out and devoice stuff, it just doesn't sound right.
In reality a proper southern accent is very.. connected is what always comes to mind. See when you make your voice whispy, air's coming out and it's devoicing the sounds you're making. When you don't do that, there's this buzzing smoothness that continues all throughout the utterance, and that's part of a Southern accent, it's like a legato feel.
Who knew all my years of singing Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi I was nailing it as a child
Ответитьafter practicing raspy way is it normal to have a weird feeling at uvula?
And I also tried not to give out air out while practicing
as long as you keep practicing this little by little and the first time it worked but pitch shifting higher with this technique is hard, theoretically with that more practice overtime it should get better/easier right?
Going for the mnemic vocals style, i think youd enjoy "i've been you" check it out so you know what I mean
Excellent lesson! Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat explanation and demo!
ОтветитьIve watched so many videos and I still dont understand
ОтветитьCould you try doing Tom Araya’s voice? I’m a big fan of Slayer and I’d really like to have his kind of singing voice.
ОтветитьI seem to loose all of the raspy sound the second i get loud any tips?
ОтветитьWhat’# your take on Rod Stewart rasp? Same thing?
ОтветитьNasal sound sounds so weird alone, but when you add reverb it's actually good
Ответитьstop talking so fucking much
ОтветитьTHX DUDE
ОтветитьInteresting, but a singer like Josh Todd sounds like he's doing it the wrong way. It's odd, but for me it depends on the song. I can sing "Ace of Spades" like Lemmy the right way, but when it comes to other songs, like "Lit Up" by Buck Cherry, I have more difficulty without doing it the wrong way. I think the "Correct Way" leans heavily on the microphone and the wrong way is as if you don't have that amplifier.
Ответитьthe second way is very axl rose
ОтветитьThank you this video helped me so much!!
ОтветитьI'm trying to sing similar to Blackie Lawless from W.A.S.P.. It's not easy trying to sing that high. I hope to one day nail it though.

ОтветитьThey both sound weird
ОтветитьWhen I go in my vocal fry, I end up in the whistle notes. Lol
ОтветитьHey man, I do the same thing as you... but I get into fry scream very easily with that technique. I am trying with the healthy technique but it comes out more like a fry scream... or is that just me😅
ОтветитьSo this technique only works while singing the falsetto?
ОтветитьWhen I try this I feel discomfort in the top of my mouth. Feels like the roof of my mouth is irritated both in the top front and top back. Its directly on the hard palette no idea why.
ОтветитьI lose my pitch control when I use vocal fry. Any tips?
ОтветитьPlease teach us girls how to get the rasp that Gwen Stefani had when she was in No Doubt. I love her voice and I wanna learn her technique 😊
ОтветитьAwesome stuff! I would love to see you do one on Rod Stewart 😊
ОтветитьThanks for the tutorial.
I wanted to sound like Bryan Adams i got Axl Rose.
My cat went from purring contentedly to full on defensive mode hearing some of the noise you made in this video.
Ответитьeven if you learn this you will never have the voice of henning may
ОтветитьNot trying to be negative, but whats up with the polyphonic overtones in your voice? I assumed you were demonstrating the wrong way, but it was present in mostly all examples.
Ответитьnah bro you just didnt make it, nice try though
ОтветитьYoure a Luke a like
Ответитьgrit?
Ответитьhow do you project if you're holding back air?
ОтветитьSometimes i just think these guys just drink a lot of booze and smoke a lot of cigarettes and are lucky that they can still sound hot
ОтветитьMay the rasp be with you, young Jedi!
ОтветитьThank God I found you!!! Two videos in and you’ve helped more with what I’m trying to learn than 4 vocal coaches and the many you tube videos I’ve watched!!! You don’t over talk. You say it then demonstrate it!! Perfect!!! And you’re funny as hell. Much love dude!! Thank you!!!❤
ОтветитьYou're awesome! This is actually a technique I use for metal screams, I haven't been able to limit it. Could you make a video on a light false cord rasp?
ОтветитьThat's not vocal rasp, that's vocal fry
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video.
For me this is the hardest part of singing, I've learned from vibrato, belting, etc all succeed but this one keep buggin me and I'm still not adapted yet, I can use a little raspy voice on lower note but not on higher note. 😫 Hopefully I'm able to learn it soon.
Btw, I really would like to see you discuss about Phil Collins, his unique and raspy voice in his song "All Against All Odds", he is the reason I want to learn to sing. Cheers.
Aaaaaaaaa yeeaaaaaamade kudasai
