Liked herring as a kid (rolmops, pickled from a jar), as an adult I'm finding the look of a silvery herring absolutely disgusting :p I would recommend tourists to try Indonesian food, especially meals with daging smoor (stewed beef) and ayam tao tjo (chicken in black bean sauce). I have American Facebook friends who were over here and tried Indonesian and then stopped trying out other foods because they liked the Indonesian food so much!

I would expect bitterbal would be popular in many areas of the USA but had not seen it so will keep my eyes open.

Don't know if you guys tried this already, but i'd defenately try a 'Puddingbroodje'. They can be bought in most stores in Bakery (Bakkerij) section, but also at a professional Bakery. Not a warm dish, but a nice broodje i'd say.
Oh, also a 'Pizzabroodje' can be found in the bakery (section) aswell.

C'mon man,when is a food channel going to try real food in the Netherlands instead of this deep fried shit... Dutch food is notoriously uninspired and without our flavor. If you want to eat good here these are the quality places where you can get real food. I recommend you try this for your next video.

- Indonesian food is good, try some quality places and you will not be disappointed

-marrocan fish : yes marocan, if you eat fish here don't go to those dutch places that only sell haring and kibbeling. The marocan places have big variety of fish, order what you want for a mixed dish and enjoy

- Turkish/Syrian restaurants : keyword here is restaurant,please don't buy doner kebab from those small diners,there loaded with germs and low quality meat. Find a nice restaurant and enjoy a real middle eastern kebab on a stick,you can find them if you look good

Favorite Dutch dish.... A good stampot (zuurkool, andijvie, prei, boerenkool) or hutspot with agood rookworst or gehaktbal in the winter months.
But I also like a good broodje hamburger or just some mini spring rolls (mini loempia) or the big loempia (with some ketjap manis).
My favorite candy is drop (licorice)

We get such a bad rep cuisine wise but if you look we have more michelin star restaurants then most others. And lots of street food as you guys highlight.

De Aziatische keuken is zoveel beter dan de Nederlandse. Echt Nederlandse gerechten bestaan niet eens. Misschien Snert, paling, haring en stamppot. En drop. We hebben ook goede kaas. Maar echt Nederlands eten is vrij fantasieloos 🤣🤣

Just go find a good snack bar instead of a vending machine. You just don't know if the snack you want has been laying there for 10min or a couple of hours.

Febo is so shitty. When you are in Amsterdam try some real nice food. I can recommend the restaurant yakiniku Kanata (wagyu bbq)
And the best Redtaurant is Plato Loco. Nice karribean food. The chicken is the best 😍

Do not know if you did Groningen. If you do go to the Weeva. Its a hotel with an restaurant. They serve nice food. If you want to eat local disches try their gebakken bloedworst , mosterdsoep with bacon, backed liver with unions and poffert with vanilla ice and cream. That is real local dutch food.
