I tried to run the same app on my android device after designing the xml but it showed me "Hello world". on the other hand i tried another app which has just only xml but it displayed me the whole front end...PLZZZZ HELP!!!

hi bro im facing 1 issue when i add scrollview when i set my height to match parent my layout stays in background so my screen is full white and when i try to close my scrollview when i write </ it completes Linear layout instead of closing scroll view, Idk y this is happening im new to this pls help
