It used to be more affordable when I visited in 2016, Now everything is more expensive and Exchange rate is also lower Euro wise.
160 Baht for a bier equals to 4 euros, almost the same as in some european destination.

I'm not sure about some of those prices being affordable. Shoes seem cheaper in the UK. Maybe it seems affordable if you're from Norway!

Just returned from bkk, my last dinner was at Song Fa’ pork rib soup at MBK. When the bill came, I was shocked. We had a bowl of pork rib soup, kidney soup, small plate of preserved veg, Kai lan veg, 2 plain rice and 2 cups barley water. The bill came to approx 1200 baht. That was such a ripped off. Definitely targeting silly tourist like me who does no mathematical calculations before ordering. It was not even a tasty meal, the first bowl of soup came mildly lukewarm. We had to send it back. Avoid this at all cost.
