Vegan soul food is honestly just ridiculous. At a certain point you just have to acknowledge that some types of food can't just have the meat subbed out for something random. You can't just swap out fruit for chicken and expect it to taste decent. Just make normal vegan foods well, rather than putting soybeans and coconut oil on your pasta and calling it Mac and cheese.
