I've been using a tv since 2020 and I'll never go back.
ОтветитьThere's no point in getting a bigger screen only to sit further away from it?! I have a 50" TV as my desktop PC monitor and I sit about 30-40cm away from it. It's like having 4 x 1080p 24" screens (which is what I used to have) so... what's the difference? Well, more screen realestate and no bezels. The headaches and eye strain are more likely from reflections imho. I have my screen set up so there's no light sources behind me and I see little reflections. I work 10-12 hours a day on it and no problems. When I take my laptop to the office and work with lights reflecting on a 15" screen, I get headaches in an hour!
Crucially, I have my screen calibrated to 200 nits peak SDR brightness (which is what you want for colour/photo work) not MAX brightness. Having ANY screen too bright will hurt your eyes.
I still like monitors dimensions to by like Length only X2 of Hight thus a traditional not ultra-wide monitor...
Ответитьcool video man! thanks
ОтветитьHow are the blacks on it btw? Sorry if I ve missed it if u mentioned it
ОтветитьDo you have for desk the karlby from IKEA?
ОтветитьI could imagine using this monitor more like a TV like if you have a dual monitor setup you could use it for single player cinematic games but 48 inches is too big to set right up against
ОтветитьUsing a 65” CX for three years sitting only about 3.5’ from the screen. The solution to the eye strain for myself was lowering the OLED brightness and using a warmer calibration. This could be subjective.
No burn in here either using it about ~14 hours a day
noticing how amazon reports the ultrawide as 21:9 and not 24
ОтветитьI'm planning to buy a 4k tv for a ps5, which is best, 4k 40 inch or, 4k 50 inch or above?.
ОтветитьIs the same if I watch Netflix on lg TV vs watching Netflix on laptop that connect to LG TV? Is the oled downgrade if I watch it from laptop?
ОтветитьI was getting bad eyestrain from my tv when I would play switch games on it, even sitting much further back. I had to switch to the calibrated dark mode and that helped a lot, but it's a lot less vivid of course. I might try connecting to my monitor after watching this.
ОтветитьThat desk is way too small
ОтветитьWait! How'd you fix you g-sync issue? I just had the LG OLED C3 hooked up to my laptop, both support 4k @ 120hz, but the tv went black when put to those settings. How'd you fix it!?
ОтветитьПривет, какой у тебя сейчас монитор?
ОтветитьHeres a good tip, with a 48 inch c1 i have. I set my wall paper to deep black and borders around windows black. and i run everything at 150 percent display image 4k. using tiling applications you can actually have an amazing work space which can be viewed close without eye strain. gaming you can window the screen aswel. to get that 32 inch look aswel. Yet someitmes its just easier to use a normal monitor
ОтветитьHi, I am graphics designer and i love gaming which monitor should i use do you recommend any model I am so confused
Ответитьnever mind the monitor/tv, your camera quality is amazing!!!
ОтветитьRatings on his monitor are terrible.
ОтветитьSince this video have you had any issues with the LG 38WN95C-W? I had one for a week and experienced issues with vertical scan lines and ghost images while using on my M1 MBP. Trying to decide if I want to give the monitor a second chance.
Ответить$1600 monitor and what, a $99 desk? and pretty much all complaints about the tv comes from the desk
Ответитьthis is why i got a smaller monitor for my pc, the headaches were something iv never felt before
ОтветитьA 16:9 24" 1080p, 32" 1440p and 48" 2160p are all the same pixel density (per square inch). So you can use any of these monitors at their native resolution next to each other and have the exact same screen element sizes. That's why I would go with a 48" right next to my 32" 1440p monitor or just get another 32" 1440p monitor.. Must stay at least 3 feet away, though with the 48".
Ответитьi really can't understand you guys on the internet reviewing these huge ass monitors on your slim desks :))) like get at least one with a depth of 80cm (that's 32 inch or 2.6ft or 0.00043 nautical miles for all of you not using something normal to measure distance) ....
ОтветитьI am starting to realize we are so spoilt.
ОтветитьI don't know what this guy was expecting. He's got like a 15 inch deep desk and almost half of it is being overtaken by the TV stand. I'd also say 48 inches is too big at any distance for a monitor, but maybe it could work if you have a huge desk area. I got the 42 inch LG C2 and feel like it is the sweet spot. I wouldn't go any bigger and I could go smaller but feel like it would take away from the experience.
ОтветитьMy mom just got me a 43 inch TV for Christmas i sadly had to return it cause it’s way too big for my eyes. Idk how you’re able to play so close from the TV my retinas will burn 15mins in game
ОтветитьI use a 75 inch Samsung with wireless keyboard but I do sit 6 to 7 feet back and it works great.
ОтветитьSo would a smaller sized tv have kept you using the tv over using the monitor?
ОтветитьI know this is an old video, but do you not have issues with image stretching on ultrawide? I've spent ages weighing up ultrawide, but most things I've read say that there's stretching on the edges
Ответитьyeh he deffo too close, i sit 90cm away from my 42", ive just ordered the asus 48"oled and i will probably find the sweet spot for that will be 1metre back minimum,....tried smaller screens, i find sitting close to a small screen gives me bad eye strain, but sitting back from a large monitor is much easier on the eye
Ответитьbuys a 1600€ monitor... puts it on a 100€ - 60cm desk ^^
ОтветитьI have two 24" 4K monitors that I use at 100% scaling. If I were to get a 48" display for my desk, I would want it to be 8K with 16 1080p windows. Ultimate multitasking!
Ответитьget a deeper table like 100cm
ОтветитьDid you try 42 inches?
ОтветитьI got both of those for christmas
Ответитьwouldnt' it be more useful to just set the resolution to ultra wide with the 48" when needed and enjoy the extra verticality as well on other situations?
ОтветитьI really wondered on what do PC user play when they make tha "ultimate 4k build" you just see a PC, not the monitor. Are their monitors even 4k. I mean TVs are but monitors. No wonder you switched from the TV its too big and to close, you need to be at least 2 meters from it.
ОтветитьHow did you got 120Hz refresh rate on LG C1 as monitor? I am only getting 60Hz with 4K HDMI cable?
ОтветитьI got 50inch and used it as my monitor it’s superb but ofc i have to move far from my tv.. I played league of legend and csgo
ОтветитьI think for a Oled TV as a monitor, 42" is the best size. I am using C2 42" since past 2 months and never had any kinda issue.
Lowered the brightness a little bit also.
For the headaches do you think blue light glasses might help?
ОтветитьMake no mistake, the eye strain you mentioned has everything (100%) to do with the glossy reflective screen. While you focus on the content, there is all the ambient glare burning right in your eye hole. If it was a matte finished screen, you wouldn't have this issue. Glossy is always a deal breaker for me, never again.
Ответитьyeah you needed the tv on the wall or a desk with a depth of 30 to 35 inches away!
ОтветитьYeah i think it's not very pleasing to use such a huge screen where you have to sit very near it will cause some problems , go from 22 to 32" at max it's more than enough
Ответитьi use a 40 inch tv and im about 3ft away from it. and i just turn the brightness lowe, and warm the screen a bit thru my pc settings. and its great!!!
ОтветитьI got eys strain after months use tv oled c1 , I sit from tv about 80 cm my table deep 80 cm also. Any one got same issue comment here thanks sorry for my english due to not a native ☺️
ОтветитьGood video
ОтветитьI turn down the brightness on every monitor
Ответить
