How did it end up on the crippled doctors leg in the first place? The last thing they saw was it slipping into the thrusters right? Then they all went to that one room and sealed up and then vented the rest of the ship. Were we supposed to believe it got on his leg with no on seeing it?

This movie is so entertaining and I actually like it……..but it made the astronauts look so dumb. The acting definitely carried this movie and made it way better.

In my theory they should’ve had tasers as we’ve seen shock seems to scare Calvin and it even woke him up electricity might be the way they could use weaponized tasers normal tasers or they could rip off wiring from a unused machine and use the wires to shock him to disable him for a while or potentially hurt it

When it went into hibernation I'd have put it in a sample container that could be sealed. Then they just send it back to earth with the astronaut who's been in space too long and needs to return for health reasons.

There would definitely be a movie if there wasn't plot armor. Calvin did seem extremely lucky at every turn in the story.

Once Calvin escaped from the initial containment device, opening the door to the lab would have been suicidal since they already knew that a single cell from this species can grow into a tool using killer organism.
