I still need to read babel, I’m not sure which side I’m going to fall on with that book.
I want to read both a touch of light and winds of strife. Maybe I could read one for the indie prompt for knock it out November.
I read a 50 ish page sample of voice of war and didn’t want to continue.
Great video, Cassidy🥰
I DNFed Babel with about 100 pages left. 💁🏻♀️
ОтветитьI like it that you tell your followers if you like a book or not as it helps them as it shows other people views on it . Not ever book is going to be a good read. I don’t get why people have to hate on people that f they don’t like a book it’s so unfair and so un kind. I love your honesty reviews on the books you read xx
ОтветитьLove you putting more indies on my TBR to check out! Honestly both of your new faves sound so good. Hearing you talk about Voice of War makes me think that the things I wasn't jiving with at the start probably won't be resolved the way I want them to, at least in book 1.
Ok, hear me out.😂I'd argue that Goblin Emperor DOES have a plot but it's like a reality show plot where you're watching the main character try to find friends/love/themselves while navigating this new court setting they've been tossed into. But I totally see how that's not a usual plot structure haha.
I am SO with you on desperately checking the SPFBO updates to see if A Touch of Light is already a finalist. That book deserves all the love and hype!!! 😍
And gosh, you're really making me want to reread Winds of Strife.
Also, no need to apologize for not jiving with Voice of War. I think book 2 and 3 are definitely stronger, but then I also enjoyed book 1 a lot more than you did, so there's that. Hopefully Argyle can still win you over, but it's okay if this isn't the one for you. Fair critiques!
Loved hearing your thoughts on all of these books!! 🥰

ОтветитьI still can’t believe you didn’t hate ugly love!
ОтветитьI'm so worried about Babel because I don't love school settings in books
ОтветитьI feel like you need to DM me what the differences are with the Atlas Six. I read the self-pub version earlier this year aha.
Ответитьlol I felt similarly about Voice of War it was very mid. I wasn’t intrigued enough to continue the series so I hope you like it.
ОтветитьI clicked on this video and the first thing I see is a romance?? take me out
ОтветитьI agree we need different opinions so that we are able to have discussions about different topics
ОтветитьI have -10 interest in picking up Babel, it just sounds incredibly boring to me. But I love that so many people have enjoyed it.
ОтветитьI still smile from ear to ear when I see you saying five stars! Thanks so much, Cass! Can't say enough how much I appreciate the support!
ОтветитьI always hate seeing people get hated for honest reviews of books they didn't like. The only time I'm critical of reviewers is when the reviews are bigoted. I just read Mad Honey and there were a few reviews of the book that were just bigoted because of the themes in the book. Some of the reviews were like "this is too woke" and some were worse. I definitely judged those people and even commented on a few.
Other then that, I see no reason to hate on people giving honest and constructive feedback. Sometimes the reviews are not nice and I don't love that cause I think you can provide better reviews when they are constructive.
I also have still yet to read Babel. I'm terrified of it because if it hadn't been written by RF Kuang I would have skipped it
AAAAAAA thank you so much for all the kindness Cass!
Honestly I don't remember ever hearin compliments about how fear of the unknown is shown in Winds of Strife. That's so accurate! Thank you!
I hear nothing but good things about A Touch of Light. Prolly will pick it up sometime soon, do you know if it's still running in SPFBO?
Yay first like and comment. Love this content. Best to you and your family. Happy Halloween!!!!! 🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃
