Nah, VDJ is still the go-to for me... After using VDJ, Serato's UI doesn't make sense for me.
Also, VDJ has this for a while now, I guess it's named as VocalFX

Which software is best for stems, serato or rekordbox?

Traktor has had this for years lol, ever since release of the S8.

Things are diferent...now i even see guys djing that dont even use headphones...
Thos tool can make us do great things and remix the musics live while performing

Would you do a video on the Rekordbox stems? I don't think they're as good as the Serato sadly and I love Rekordbox better my computer crashed at a gig because of the stems:/

Stems have been around for 10 years.

But Virtual DJ had this way before Serato

Stems is freaking awesom. But I did have to buy the new MacBook Pro to run it with no problems. If you have a 8g of ram you’re not gonna be able to use it. I got the 32g so it’s super smooth and my laptop laughs at the workload. Overall, the possibilities are endless and so much fun mashing songs on the fly. Dj2dz out 🫡

I have a Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX and I’m running Catalina version 10.15.7 on my Mac. Can you tell me why the jog wheels are not matching up with the waveforms in Serato DJ light??

It doesn't run on many systems that's for sure.

so I have gone through a massive amount of music with this software lately just to see how it works with different types of music. What I have found is that based on the tracks recording and mixing techniques it will drastically alter the outcome. so if I take a newer song that has a lot of compression the mids don't really filter out as well but you can get a good vocal and drum track. Also if there's heavy processing on the vocals (IE auto-tune, reverb, multi-tracking) and the singing is lower in the mix the vocal stem will sound like its underwater or will have gaps. Now here's where I found the stem software really shined and that was with older recordings. I was going through tons of classics from Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Brook T, The Doobie Brothers and the list goes on. This does really well with songs that were made using older mixing and mastering techniques which has opened up a whole new world of sampling to me. it even gets cleaner separation of the stems which I was very pleasing to me since I enjoy mixing older music samples into something new.

I think there should be a way for producers to deliver stem separated tracks. So, not separated by AI, but made by the artist as they intended it.
Serato could label it 'Stem Ready' or something

DJing really sucks now. All these updates and new releases have sucked out the creativity and artistry from the craft. No one is original or innovative anymore. I would compare it to seeing a comedian do stand-up, but he's using Artificial Intelligence to make sure he doesn't tell a bad joke.

Virtual DJ 2.0 stems are much better than Serato Stems 3.0

Sounds good from Carlo but the word on the street about Serato STEMS is that it will beat up your computer! I have a 2020 MacBook Pro & I don't think that Apple is "all in" with this Serato upgrade at this time. I'm going to wait until Apple puts out a communication regarding Serato STEMS/Beta before I consider accessing it.
