My Top 3 Factorio Overhaul Mods (One Might Surprise You!)

30 more science is a good mod. It gives serious attention to forgotten items like uranium outside smmo and energy, and stone in early game (by adding burning miners to an early science pack). Contant design every 10 minutes, sure. But that's better than the somewhat stale pace (stamp machines and care only about resources and defences) of vanilla game.

I can't wait for future versions of SE to come out. Aparrently the extraplanetary resources and space sciences are going to be reworked to be more localized, as in you're going to be setting up separate bases and science production on each planet instead of simply shipping in processing ingredients and shipping out finished ingots. I've got to be honest, I didn't like the extraplanetary resources, it felt like you had to sit at home pre-planning a huge base, you'd set it up in about 2-3 hours, and then you leave, never to return for any reason ever. There were so many cool concepts they showed in the menus, that while fun, were just impractical and a waste of time if you actually played the game.

Put Space Exploration + Krastorio 2 + 248k + other single mods to make e.g. biter harder + other stuff in one pack and enjoy it for 1.000 and more houres.

im late to the party ik but ... im actually hopping to pick up something like the game from the depths (if you don't know what that is its basically a hardcore version o ship building ) along with having very little experience with the base game .

Thanks for your review. I have only played Factorio with Bob's mods extensively and I liked it a lot. It felt like Vanilla++ without tormenting you like, say, Bob's + Angel's will.

I have always wanted to play Factorio in a more complex setup, compared to vanilla. With more complex chains, new mechanics and all, that will actually help me fight off the stronger, smarter biters. So I think I am going to try K2 + Space Exploration + Rampant

I just finished my first rocket so I'm pretty hyped for next moded game. I have been and I will look for more mods, but there are suprisingly not that many videos about is so thanks for making a good explanation of these 3 even if they are but a few among many mods.

So im verry new to factorio but playd a lot of minecraft modded and this pyanondon feel like GregTech to me. just make your live a living hell but kind of like it .

I'd love to have a vanilla-style Space Ex. You know, not all-out more complicated base recipes, just vanilla recipes, and the space expansion part being in the same relatively-simple style.

When using clips, preselect your clips and write a script around them so you know exactly what will be on screen while speaking OR just leave clips running on loops in background and don't mention them. When you tell me your gonna cut to a clip and then the script doesn't follow well it breaks attention. Now instead of wastching more of you, I'm in here talking about how clips and scripts.

I really like bobs + angles, its just like the base game with more to build and plan without being too crazy like py.

Im probably 50 hours into a bobs mods playthrough and my brain is really getting a workout compared to krastorio, im really glad i played krastorio first to get me ready for this... The chemistry alone in bobs is just mad yet i cant help myself lol. Im definitely trying space exploration next. im so happy this game has so much incredible content.

I really like your videos, but I have to say that hearing “um” or “uh” all the time is very distracting😅 Maybe it’s just me, and that’s my only complaint!

i really wanted to watch this but after watching 5 minutes of video i feel like i barely got 2 minutes of content. I guess you need your twitchers entertained when you play but this is video! Its ok to tell about them having discord server but i dont need to hear it 3 times in 30 second segment :/ those "ehms" and long pauses dont help it either

A friend talked me into Pyanodon's with Alien Life. It definitely not for me. It seems more like CBT than a fun time. I think it's illuminating how many people bail on it before or after Blue science.

I must warn you guys that combining them Is demanding. I am playing Krastorio 2 with Space Exploration. 500 hours so far, I started it just before the covids pandemic outbreak. I am about to start naquium extraction, a late game material. Tech research with these two combined is totally mad. I think I still have about 100 hours ahead to beat them both. You must know also that combinators deep knowledge is a must and you can not abuse or depend a lot of the logistics network. Also, late in game you have to explore a lot and that will rise your savegames files, wich means long savings times.

Love space exploration, it adds so much to explore and I only just made it to space in my newer game.

I had a 500+ he playthrough of pyandon with alien life and enjoyed it. The problem is it's still a work in process. And the authors decide that with every update that they will just break your factory. I quit after they decided to move the liquid input positions on some of the processing plants and killed some important recipes. However, the graphics are great and it does add a ton of stuff. I tend to like the mods that have you deal with waste products and reprocessing.

Also I have heard that the diamond process in Panasonic is close to the realistic process, I have played pay before I came to yellow and purple... I also once had quite a lagere mod combination of multiple overhaul mods just to get circuits I had to make a massive structure like insane.. I have a vid on my channel where you can kind of see it.. I did however have a starter kit mod and i lost the mod list, footage and save .. actually i do mis that mess (the vid doesn't show the full size but I can tell you that what you saw was about 1/6 of it

Couldn't you have found someone to give you some Pyanodon footage, because staring at the modlist (not even the submods and their text/screenshots !) for a third of the video is a bit much to ask for, especially if you want to convince people to try it !

I’m very curious: Can you do a Factorio++ review? It is a large, but not quite overhaul, mod that creates kinda like a vanilla+ experience. But it does add quite a lot of new techs and stuff, can you compare it to Krastorio 2, 5dim, Bob’s, or Angel’s?

I want to play IR2 and K2, I also like PY but do not think I will play it. I might try out IR2 & K2, they did work together with K1 & IR

These look amazing, but I got burned so many times in the days of Minecraft: You start playing with a mod and like it and then BAM they change the vanilla game the the mod is broken and the devs of the mod don't care anymore. Now you have to re-learn how to play.

A huge thanks for acknowledging pyanodon even though you wouldn't play it yourself. I really like the challenge I get out of it even if I really struggle to get any progress done, that's the kind of pain I enjoy bc it pushes me to push my limits!

The only one I ever played was Bob's. All those overhaul mods suffer from not having any documentation, in-game or wiki.

got a few hundred hours in seablock with my significant other, and the developer who has taken over is really receptive and fixing issues and I love it.
