This video makes me weirdly emotional. I think the kind of relationship depicted is that almost mythological dynamic humans are deeply fascinated by. The idea of something that could and should kill you, devour you, tear you limb from limb... but doesn't. Instead, it cherishes and protects you.

Something about it touches on a very vulnerable spot somewhere in my heart and makes me feel so raw. Makes me cry a bit. I think it's just because the idea of something more powerful than me not using that power to hurt me is both comforting and reminds me of how many systems and people I am vulnerable to that I can't trust like this.

I think using sex as a main vector for that theme was a great idea, too. Sex is something extremely vulnerable, and cruelty combined with it leaves people scarred for life. It truly is an act we tend to extend intense trust through, even when it is casual. Even a one night stand means I trust a stranger to not hurt my soul for self gratification.
