I ranked every Dead Rising game on a Tier List!

I love how everyone is talking about deadrising again

Personally I’d switch Case Zero and Case West. That factory setting in Case West was so bad and boring, I prefer the openness of Case Zero enough to put it a tier higher (or maybe same tier - Case West gets a bump for being co-op)

I agreed with the list the only thing I’ll change is switch DR2 around with off the record.

Great video. I’d have DR in S tier and DR2 in A. Also I’d put DR2OTR ahead of DR2. I gotta be honest I didn’t like adding combo weapons to the game, took a lot of emphasis off of using random items as weapons but I can see why others liked the system

I always thought Chop Till You Drop brought a lot of nice QoL updates, but unfortunately did a lot of bad things too. Removing a few Psychopaths, adding dog and parrot enemies, and the game looking like ass compared to the X360 version.

I’ve only ever played 2 and Off the Record, when I was a kid like 10 years ago lmao. I really enjoyed them then tbf. I’ll probably pick the new remake up in September, as I’ve been looking for a reason to play these games more

OTR having sandbox mode puts it above DR2 for me

I will always will defend that Dead Rising 3 is absolutely wayyy better than Dead Rising 4

oh now the Xbox 360 marketplace is going offline in a week meaning Case Zero and Case West will be lost forever.

I like the lack of combo weapons in DR1 because it further emphasizes that anything laying around is a weapon and you just have to use whatever you can get your hands on. Sometimes it's something like a baseball bat, and sometimes it's a bottle of ketchup. Reminds of the scene in Shaun Of The Dead where they throw records at zombies.

Unpopular opinion rising 4 was kinda fun
I look at it as a non canon Christmas special
And a fun one killing zombies as santa clause is fun
But yeah the original is the best

OTR sandbox mode is the best love bsing making something outta nothing

DR2 was also my first, my most nostalgic game probably ever. Hoping for a remake!

Dead rising 2 map is so incredibly fun and beautiful to look at, Each place you wander around is colorful and engaging to keep exploring, Everything i would ever wanted in an open world game in my opinion.

Dead Rising 4 is a great game if you put all the zombies in elf suits. Try it. For whatever reason it changes the feel of the game completely.

I’ve played them all and imo none of them compare to the original. I had fun, but they all seemed silly and cartoony. I was hoping deadrising would take a more serious tone after the first one, but it just became a game for kids.

I LOVE DEAD RISING 4

The commentating of this video had me laughing, in a good way! I started over from scratch last week, and for the first time ever, I got the S ending in the first game. I'm currently going through the second game, and I have never played the fourth. (I've played the rest)

I have a coop partner that has been joining me for some of the games, and I am so fucking excited as only tonight did I learn the first game is getting a remaster!!! (a real one this time)

I was 8 when Dead Rising was released and I still remember not being able to get past 7PM because I was such a coward. LOL

Dead Rising was such an underrated game, despite (as mentioned in the video) the absolutely terrible AI survivors. Regardless, I have been able to truly embrace the game for the first time, and holy shit I am enjoying the hell out of it!

Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 & Off The Record are S tier. Everything else D tier. Which is pretty much what I got from the video too. Dead Rising 3 wouldn't be in B tier, more so D tier because it's not Dead Rising at the end of the day. Dead Rising 3 should of been the game where they were like "Okay, it's not Dead Rising, we tried it but let's make Dead Rising 4 the real Dead Rising 3 we should of made." Now we're getting Dead Rising Remaster which, eh whatever.. would of rather had a new true Dead Rising like what we all wanted.

I hope Dr deluxe is gonna be Ty Olson redemption arc.

Off The Record will always the GOAT to me and the true sequel to the first game
Original 2,3 and 4 can be some alternate timeline. 1 and OTR feel like a complete story as a part 1 and 2.

Case Zero does allow you to carry over 5 levels into DR2.

Hot take... I really enjoyed Dead Rising Case West (dlc arcade game) more than dread rising 2.

Not sure why as I never really got into the timer system...

But dear god did I hate dead rising 4 as it was just compounding every issue people didn't like to the point that while I might have liked the removal of the timer... The rest was just so awful it didn't matter.

So even the theoretical target audience didn't enjoy dead rising 4.

I just would like Case West back on a more modern system to have some fun with even if it wasn't as beloved to the rest of the fandom as the main series games.

Dead Rising 4 just needs to be marked as a reason for what they did wrong and then learn from it as the story... That really killed any hint of enjoyment you could get from it.

Id say dr2 otr is the best game in the series not because its the only dead rising game i own but because of its sandbox mode. Dead rising was the perfect game for sandbox mode but they never implemented it until dr2 otr. Infinity mode in the original doesnt really count since you couldnt save the game and your health deteriorats over time so certain foods cant spawn which is why id say dr2 otr is the best one. That and its freaking frank west

Dead Rising 3 is my favorite. I really enjoyed Nick as the protagonist and for a 2013 game, the game can really look great. The cutscenes and animation look great still.

Maaaan you make OTR seem worse than it actually is. With Sandbox mode unlocked from the get go, Frank being playable (and with that, the camera returning), having more combo cards and a different story, this game is quite different from vanilla 2 than you make it seem. It's objectively better and has more content.
Sure it could've been DLC but these were the Crapcom (or Cashcom) times and we kinda dealt with it. But still, it's a full game.

I actually remember enjoying the dead rising 4, the no time limit made it feel like sandbox from OTR and campaign into 1 mode I do remember it being very repetitive and boring eventually but it was dumb fun for me
