Without Mick Taylor, it was just downhill. The best albums of all times were Beggars Banquet, Let it Bleed, Exile on Main Street, and Stickyfingers. Any other album was competing for fifth place!
ОтветитьJimmy Miller did the cow bell bit not Charlie for honky tonk woman
ОтветитьGet off my cloud start out
ОтветитьHe was a sexy beast!
ОтветитьNice listening to the bits... Jesus Dude you talk too much
ОтветитьRest In Peace, Charlie Watts!
ОтветитьWith only a 5 piece kit, he was the MAN! RIP Charlie!!! The epitome of a drummer!!!!!!
ОтветитьGut das Jule know ...weiß dat!
ОтветитьThe minute he starts you know what is it. Without him, it's not the Stones.
ОтветитьNot truly great for doing a drum solo
ОтветитьMonkey Man one of his best.
ОтветитьWhen I first saw The Stones Tattoo You Tour 1981 Hartford Civic Center, Charlie had the smallest basic Rock n Roll Drum Set and laid down the smoothest beat. Just amazed how he didn't go for the loaded out drum sets you see out there. As a fan only perspective. Tattoo You Tour 1981, Steel Wheels Tour 1989 and No Security Tour 1999.
ОтветитьHe was a virtuoso
ОтветитьWay too much talking here, not enough Charlie.
ОтветитьCharlie Watts sucked.
ОтветитьCharlie wasn't really comparable to anyone. Charlie was a drummer" Being" born in, and probably something to do with solid genetics from deep in Africa 😛❗. Funny but there's a lot of truth in his abilities relative more than just a mystery. It's understandable about how many don't understand why he was the Greatest drummer ever . I know he's the best but still am confused how he fell into the amazing fit of the Stones something also with Keith. Maybe shared DNA ❓ Just my take on him. I keep listening for him in many ways other than just Rock n roll 😎
Ответить"Can't you hear me knocking" blew my hair back. My first exposure to Charlie Watts drumming. Easily the coolest thing I've heard in decades, my whole life perhaps.
ОтветитьI think one thing that should not be overlooked, is that Charlie held his sticks in "traditional grip", look at his left hand. Very few drummers do this. This style is very powerful compared to the various fingertip grip of most contemporary drummers. Listen to Charlies's commanding snare drum work. Few can compare!
ОтветитьCan't mention You Can't Always Get What You Want, can you? Why? Because Charlie couldn't understand the timing and Jimmy Miller, their Producer, had to play on the track. I lost a ton of respect at that point. Sorry.
Ответитьtheir timing was so off at the end lol
ОтветитьI love Charlie’s playing on “Sway” because it’s one of those times where he really beat on his drum kit.
ОтветитьDr drums
ОтветитьRIP, Charlie Watts 🫂🥁
ОтветитьClickbait
Ответить💓💋🙏💝💗🍰🎂
ОтветитьOh, his dreaded long solo's. They just went on and on.
ОтветитьYeah honesty I thought they where way out when I was to young to appreciate what they where doing muscly .i thought well oh well .

ОтветитьBeen playing drums a long time. I always thought he was overlooked when people discussed great drummer. He had exceptional fills, but his timing was perfect, seriously perfect. RIP
Ответитьthe rolling stones will always be the greatest in rock and roll history
Ответитьwe love you forever Mr Charlie Watts
ОтветитьPerhaps I'm Wrong, but from what I've seen him do on the kit,I have never seen him do anything great on the Drums, I play around with the Drums, but I've never done what Charlie has, so am I being rather unfair to his memory, if I am, I do Apologise!
ОтветитьIt would have been nice if you broke down Charlie’s patterns instead of giving us your talking
ОтветитьIt would have been nice if you broke down Charlie’s patterns instead of all your talking
ОтветитьJust listen to the live version of "sympathy for the devil" from MSG in 1969. It speaks fo itself as does his drumming.
Ответитьto me,Charlie Watts is the perfect rock and roll drummer
ОтветитьDave’s drummer Carter is great, but SO many pieces in his kit. Saw this when they opened for The Stones in Seattle awhile ago
ОтветитьIt would be good if the guy could really play the drums for real and his band could really play real rock and blues on real instruments for real, neither of which any of them can and certainly ever could. 100% publicity, 0% ability. Internet marketing trolls now are no different than the marketing "fan" schemes of the sixties. They're still garbage and no replacement for real rock and blues and jazz music and musicians, now or then.
ОтветитьR.I.P. CHARLIE best Drummer in the WORLD, THANK For 60 years!!!! 🥁🙏🥁🙏🥁🙏🥁🙏🥁💔💔💔💔
ОтветитьRIP CHARLIE
ОтветитьGinger Baker’s favourite drummer
ОтветитьCharlie Watts plays the greatest drum techniques! He is the best till the end. He will be greatly missed. RIP in heaven, Charlie Watts
ОтветитьAin’t no one gonna fill the shoes of Carlie Watts . He was one off, unique drummer.
Ответить♥️Charlie♥️
ОтветитьJordan plays to the music, the music that Charlie made. Charlie was the music. Rest in peace Charlie.
ОтветитьShe's So Cold is a fun one too that I really love. Charlie does some really nice tom tom work on beautiful fills along with those tasty triplets on the hi-hat and accentuated with his signature crashing china cymbal.
ОтветитьCharlie was the heart beat of the band and it showed. Charlie's was such a humble man.... Not pretentious or arrogant as some might expect of a Rock Star.
RIP Sweet Charlie. 💔
Charles Robert Watts (2 June 1941 – 24 August 2021)
Hope to see ya in another universe Charlie.
