Personally I dont have any issues playing in the xbox one except for the cyberpunk 2077 performance. I still enjoy playing games available on gamepass and thats good enough for me.

The Original Xbox One Console Is Not a Failure because I played games on it since December 2013 to April 2017 I played it manytimes a lot more than ps4 i played ps4 since November 2014 to April 2017 like 3 or 4 times and it was my dad's xbox one and playstation 4 and the original xbox one is way better than the original Playstation 4.

Stuff on the PS1 and N64 used to dip to 15 fps and below regularly and the graphics were WAY worse than any game shown here by 1000x. You can buy an Xbone or One S for like $100 and have a gaming experience that I would have hid bodies for when I was a kid lol. It's all about perspective. Imagine taking this "bad" performance back to 1998 and showing someone Cyberpunk on the Xbox One on a 1080p TV. People in that time would think you were some kind of God with powers to make the most amazing looking games the world would ever know. Then you could be like "yeah, in 2023 this is crap hardware for peasants..." XD

I for one still love my 2013 Xbox One with a two terabyte internal SSD with VRR enabled plus I have 24 Hz and 50 Hz disabled every Xbox One game I tested run so smooth at 30fps in open world games and very smoothly at 60fps with multiplayer games such as modern warfare 2 and battlefield 2042 even overwatch 2 is shockingly smooth The graphics still looks great at 1080p And I honestly don't give a shit what PlayStation dick riders say about it They are simply jealous Xbox consoles has always been super quiet no matter how graphically intensive the game is This is why I prefer to play my third party games on Xbox One because it's super quiet sometimes I will hear it spin really loud for a minute then it goes quiet the whole day 😍 However I am deeply sad Resident Evil 4 remake is not coming to Xbox One since I have played Resident Evil village on Xbox One This is a slap on the face and a fuck you towards Resident Evil fans on Xbox One 🤦‍♂️

It's pretty amazing this thing is still going... and you can just use game pass streaming to play w Xbox series x graphics on a 10 year old piece of hardware at 60 fps. My LG oled upscales it perfectly

I'm not a "tech" guy but alot of what you are saying is resonating with me. I am still rocking the original xbox one from 2013. I use it for COD and Amazon and netflix. It sounds like I would greatly benefit from an upgrade.

I've always enjoyed my original Xbox one. My biggest complaint is the slow HDD, stands out even more now with the series consoles fast nvme ssd now have a series s. Downloads/disc installs were unbelievably slow even with gig internet. Downloading while playing a demanding game would always cause the game sounds to cut out. My OG advanced warfare edition Xbox still gets used but really only as a streaming box now and a few small games.

I got my current OG Xbox one for around $100 USD. I got it solely for the purpose of Forza and backwards compatibility. It looks like a promising future gaming collector's item. I was 18 years old in 2015 when I purchased mine for $300 as a line cook at taco bell. I admire the durability of the xbox I had, as I accidentally dropped it from hip height as I'm near 6 feet tall, and it still works today. A magnificent console for its time back then. They are easy to repair as another honorable mention.

Very poor graphics/performance even for 2014

I am still impressed by this performance and I appreciate developers pushing these games out on older consoles.

Furthermore, I am an owner of a mid- to high- end PC which I have put together myself, but one thing I appreciate more about console is developers optimizing the games for a more stable frame-rate in general (PC is a mixed bag, especially between Nvidia and AMD Radeon drivers). In addition, there is one or two graphical presets on console (quality/performance) and once you choose one you can just play the game and tank through stutters IF they occur, whereas on PC I always feel like I need to change some graphics settings when a minor hiccup occurs.

Another note, I would rather experience Cyberpunk on a constant 23-30FPS than dips from 60FPS -> 28FPS which happens in some games on PC; for example, Jurassic World Evolution 2 can do a wonderful 60FPS and as soon as you zoom in on a Dinosaur during a certain time of a day you will dip in the 20's constantly.

I'm glad with my Xbox One Halo special edition, since I'm passed a lot of years using the X-360, only in 2020 I managed to buy my Xbox One, so I'm playing old games like forza horizon 2 and Watch Dogs, and runs very good on the console. I only want to pass to the next generation when I finish to play those old games.

even the ps3 and 360 were being abandoned around this time last gen, it's honestly time to let them go.

I’ve had my xbox one since it came out. And I’ve only played racing games like Forza Horizon, Forza Motorsport and some GTA here and there. It has come to my realization that Forza games work flawlessly on every console. GTA works pretty well too but the only downside was the loading screen time which is mostly the whole reason I stopped playing it.
Recently I’ve been getting back into COD games and the last time I’ve played a COD game was on Xbox 360. I decided to buy COD Black Ops Cold War for the Xbox One. My goodness is it terrible. The game itself is great, giving me alot of nostalgia of the old CODs and its fun to play. But the Xbox One’s performance is terrible on this next gen game. The loading screens take forever, loadouts barely load, every time I select something there’s a 3 second delay, gameplay is laggy. Looks like I’ll have to invest in an Xbox Series X sometime soon.

I went from the base model “VCR” Xbox One ( after they dropped the Kinect requirement) to the Xbox One X in March 2020. Absolutely no complaints here! I did also get an Xbox Series S on sale this year exclusively for next-gen exclusive titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator or next-gen enhanced games like Train Sim World 3

Back when it came out it probably would’ve been able to play most of the games nowadays pretty well, but they seem to have slowed down old Xboxs, just getting throught the Home Screen on a one now is extremely slow and annoying so people buy new consoles, I have an Xbox one x, and you bet when I boot it up, it’s gonna get stuck on that circle loading screen for 5 min tho it was in sleep mode, it’s gonna take atleast 4 clicks to start my game and I’ll likely need to start it twice because of bugs

I just acquired a Halo 5 xbox one off ebay. I refurbished it and replaced the internal hard disk with a 2TB ssd. Very pleased with the system. Nowhere near as fast as current gen consoles in terms of loading times, but still significantly better than it was before. I just appreciate it for what it is. It plays Halo just fine. I'm sure Microsoft will be discontinuing support for games for this specific version soon as it's simply just limited by its hardware. And I bet it's a huge pain in the ass for devs to optimize games for this version of xbox when the games are made for series s/x.

I bought both the PS4 and Xbox One at the same time and this VCR was much better overall. PS4 was incredibly slow even for its own dashboard and it ran out of memory a lot. That and the fact that still can't switch apps without closing everything. This system was slandered to hell. Still is.

I still like how my One S looks. Its quiet, low power consumption and can still run games with average performance
