Very nice.
Ответитьhello i have just carefully watch your video i am having some problem to find what distance from rear or front where to place my colum could you hel me my 3018 is a Vevor 3018 Thank you and congratulations for yor wonderful video
ОтветитьAs a side not, you can get the very same parts to increase Y axis size by sourcing them. Waaaay cheaper !
Same goes for spoilboards : both at the same time. Aluminum as a "base" that will be left untouched, and a MDF one that can be sacrificed.
Hola sirve para metal bronce, plata cobre. Y acero???
ОтветитьThis is not an upgrade. This is buying another bigger cnc and canibalise some parts from an obsolete cnc.
ОтветитьWhat is met by " offline contolker"?
Ответитьwhere did you get the 500wt spindle motor?
Ответитьhave built the machine as your did in your video. The only thing not done is making four plats to raise the cutter. Since this is my first CNC would you be able to supply the templet?
ОтветитьWould it be worth the money to buy the 500wt spindle motor when I has a trim router that fits the 65 mm bracket.
ОтветитьWhich nima17 2.5 N or 4 N type ??
ОтветитьHi, ima jeweller and wanting to be able to do some simple engraving on flat pendants etc with basic fonts. Would I be able to do this with this machine on gold and silver? Thanks
ОтветитьThank's for your video : i'll notice the link!
I re-designed the electronic parts of the 3010 because i find it too weak and no electrical keys anywhere
can bring several electric damages to the machine.
I have 2 questions:
1/ Is the 3040 stronger or better than the 3010?
2/ And may we do the same thing with the 3010?
Does anybody knows?
Thank You!
But why not just buy a bigger one?
ОтветитьBravo on your height fix! Love it when people think outside the shipping box! Only thing I am wondering is why not mount the bed rails out further away from the center axis, for more support, and stiffness?
ОтветитьEver seen this one? Even after carefully calibrating the XYZ axes my 3018-PROVer and using the Z-probe on every setup, it consistently cuts between 2mm and 3mm deeper than what is called out (using an end mill with a 1/8" shank - the goal is to get a cut 1mm deep in 3mm stock but no luck). Everything else seems to be working accurately across multiple test files in VCarve Pro 10.5, UGS, and Candle but they all produce much deeper cuts than what I'm instructing the CNC make. Cheers
ОтветитьWhat size (and length) bolts and tee nuts do you use for z extension when you used your metal plates with four holes, please?
ОтветитьVery solid video..
ОтветитьHello! I was wondering if u know whether the y extension kit is compatible with the prover v2 or just the original… can’t find any information anywhere. Thank you in advance.
Ответитьthis is a very clear concise well laid out video, thank you i would like to add this extra area to my cnc 3018 howhere mine is the Banggood 3018 Mini Cnc Router. do you think all the pieces will still fit. Thanks again. sorry if this has been answered before but i couldn't find it.
ОтветитьHow do you insert the clamps for holding the wood ? There is no place on the sides if you block with the extra rails heigh!
ОтветитьI have a 3018 pro and I would like to the same upgrades as you can you make same brackets for me for the z axis. Please
ОтветитьCan work on pavers or bricks 🧱?
ОтветитьHello, I also have such a motor (48V). It was working before, but yesterday, while scraping wood, the motor had a hard time and suddenly stopped. Now it doesn't work at all. I measured it with a multimeter. There is electricity (48V) at the output of the PWM driver and the positive and negative terminals of the motor are powered, but the motor does not move. What do you think might be causing the problem?
ОтветитьThank you for taking the time to make these videos as it's very much appreciated.
Is it possible to answer two questions for me please.
1 The new upgraded motor came with a power output unit but I don't know which of the live/motor terminal goes where as it in Chinese caricatures.
2 What is the size of the metal box. and where did you get it please.
Thank you .
Please stay safe .

What a great video. Nice production, well organized, clear speech. It all helped to concentrate on the subject matter - that super nice desktop Sainsmart CNC. Thanks for taking the time to do this. It's nice to see all these upgrades in action.
ОтветитьWhat’s your candle $$ for your z height increase?
ОтветитьWhat kind of glue you use and the spray adhesive that you put on the tape?
ОтветитьWhat was the distance that you moved the x gantry from the back after the upgrade ? please n thankyou
ОтветитьHow much
Ответитьhi do you have the G code for the aluminum please
Ответитьexcellent and complete video tutorial , thank you Sir.
ОтветитьGreat review!
Ответитьlets upgrade make it longer rod and same acme thread. it just flex more. even 12mm linear rail is better it flex only that much how much thing you skrew it flex lol if you skrew it on granite it wont flex lol.
noh lets just have 12mm round rod in middle it not flex? lol
⚙ je suis en train de modifier la mienne en 6060 j'ai hâte de la finir pour voir le résultat et la conclusion finale. Si la version 6060 me convient en terme mécanique je la passe à 1000x1000
😉👌
Wow. All done with an allen key, Your poor wrist.
ОтветитьHi,finally I have the need to use now the expansion ordered a while ago.
Anyhow - I was thinking of replacing the Spindle as well.
What I want to ask is: Can I use the spindle speed commands like I used in the original spindle? OR do I need to turn on the spindle with the potentiometer on the new external powersupply?
I am using the MACH3 version for the 3014 Prover
Thanks for your feedback!
Well I am new to This, Please can you explain why the spoilboard is on the bottom.?
ОтветитьWow, some serious upgrades!!! Not exactly cheap and cheerful by the end though - about another 250-300 over the base price?
Ответитьi cant seem to remove the original lead screw from the stepper motor. I removed the 2 tiny screws farther from the motor but the screw seems to be stuck. do i have to remove the other two screws closer to the motor? the old screw doesnt seem to budge. is it also screwed into the coupler or just inserted and held together by the tiny 2 screws?
ОтветитьMuy buen video, saludos desde Uruguay 🇺🇾
ОтветитьGreat idea on the z axis height increase. Thx
ОтветитьА почему б не поставить ось z на профили? Ее б можно было хоть на метр поднять.
Ответитьa cheep cnc engraving machine is not a cnc milling machine, still to much vibration trying to cut aluminum, just not rigid enough
ОтветитьThank you for a great video!!! It helped me a lot!!! I just added the 3040 extension to my 3018 Prover. I have a question : How far must I move the gantry forward on the 2040 rails from the original 3018 original position? I installed it in the original 3018 position and it appears to be about 30mm too far back. I also plan to use the old 2040 rails to "lift" the Z axis higher up since I added the 3040 spoil board with the extra aluminum bed piece.
ОтветитьIt was very interesting. But you should have used sliders to connect aluminum profiles. Hope you did later :)
ОтветитьThis is incredible thank you! Excited to get mine in a couple days and you just got me more jacked to receive it with all of these badass upgrades that I can do!
ОтветитьThanks for doing this excellent tutorial. It was a great help to me and I would never have come up with the solution to raise the Z height like you did. I did take the easy option and bought the plates from Amazon rather than make my own though. 👍🏻
