Best mystery series of all time

Very smart how season 3 ties in a certain president who is pictured with West on his office wall and how the types of crimes in the show go up to a very wealthy chicken processing plant owner in Arkansas. The same type of chicken billionaire who is regarded as the driving force behind that president's political career. Now tie in the information about that president and his close ties with the guy who owned a private island and "Lolita Express". Very clever writing.

I find it very difficult to believe that a black man born into poverty, overcame dyslexia, was accepted into the 75th infantry regiment, completed two tours in Vietnam as a LRRP then made it through the ranks as a detective in the Arkansas State Police but has such thin skin and can’t go an episode without mentioning something in regards to racism, it’s as if the writers wanted to reflect the times and mentality of people in 2019, what a hoax…

I loved season 1 but this is the best one to me hands down I'm waiting for the next season 🙌

Just finished season 2, way better than season 1... would have been good to see rust and marty tie in, in some cameo way

After FINALLY getting around to watching this season, I think my opinion matches up with everyone else's here in the comments. Season 1 is completely in a league of its own. I mean it's just some of the best television ever made.

After season two my expectations were pretty low because it just wasn't that good in general. This season, however, blew me away. I was hooked from the first ep

Never seen anything like how the story was told simultaneously . Yeah you can say season 1 but the tone and method is different. Having it told through wayne’s battle with alzeihemers as he struggles to finish the case for 35 years …. made me tearful

Season 1 was pretty friggin awesome, season 2 pretty good but slow, season 3 was mind numbing slow!

Fine actors, but story dragged on and jumped around too much. It could have been smoother. Ending was just "so-so."

Season one with Matthew is one of kind 👌🏽

I think he did remember her and why he was there as he sipped the water. Remember when he told his son that there's no point in telling his wife( son's wife) that he was cheating on her as that would only be a relief for him from his guilt but a burden to her.

If he told Julie that he knew her, it would have been for his own sake, feeling of accomplishment, relief but she would be left paranoid that she had may be found and would have to move her family again. Also, there was a change in music as happens when he remembers and his eyes shifted and he gave her a weird look as he drank his water.

She also seemed to recognize him, perhaps intuitively like when you see someone you recognize but can't pin from exactly where or when.

All in all, great great performance from Mahershala. Super impressed!

Marvels future Blade (Mahershala Ali), co-starred along with with former Blade villain, Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff). I will be forever sad knowing this fact until others catch on!

Season 3 was a huge disappointment for me. Tried to be a carbon copy of the 1st season but came up way short, though I liked Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff's performances, I really didn't care for the story. People hate on season 2 but at least it had a different feel to it than season 1, was well acted (especially Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn), and wasn't boring or predictable. Season 1 was the best though:
Season 1: 9/10
Season 2: 8/10
Season 3: 7/10
