Great Tb303 recreation of stakker humanoid. I bought this track back in 1988 when I first came out & knew this track is the strart of something awesome 😊

I'm pretty sure there is chorus on the bassline in the original track

They liked that drum sample. They used it in a track called Esus Flow when they were known as Art Science Technology. As for when Humanoid came out, it sounded way ahead of its time.

Fun fact: the track was initially created as a soundtrack for video art by artists Mark McClean and Colin Scott. It seems the original video is nowhere to be found on the internet. I remember seeing it or the first time on tv as a teenager, it blew me away.

Why have I only just now registered that it was a 303 in that track? 303 is more versatile than a simple acid machine.
I wonder if it’s to do with the 303 being like, the main bassline in the track as opposed to being an accompaniment as it is more commonly used.

“Stakker Humanoid" is an 1988 track by Humanoid and has been described by The Guardian (British daily newspaper) as "the first truly credible UK acid techno record to break into the mainstream." It reached #1 in the UK Dance Chart and #17 in the UK Single Chart.
