I was born and will die an Arkansas boy! Besides some of it's flaws I would say one of the best places to live!
Lmao I've drunkenly did debates or rants online about that last part b4. 🤣
Crystal Bridges art museum is wonderful!
ОтветитьI actually live in Craighead County and we are considered a dry county because we do not have liquor stores. However, you can get to the liquor store within 15 minutes of Jonesboro and a lot of our restaurants serve liquor, but we are still classified as a dry county and so I will laugh when I hear moist county because that’s not a term we actually use around here we say we are the wettest dry county in Arkansas, and I will say that we actually have a football team in Jonesboro called the red wolves, and most of us still call the hogs
ОтветитьI was born in Hardy Arkansas then my parents moved me to Illinois. Hated it then but have learned to tolerate now. Visited Arkansas often, going home. Love Arkansas. Always wanted to move back. I’ll soon be 80 so doubt I’ll make it this lifetime, maybe next time. You are making me want a road trip going past Kingston and seeing Kathy at AzLea Falls and our daughter, Karyl, pottery artist, nearby.
ОтветитьIf you are ever in Hot Springs and want a great homemade breakfast … Greg’s Rise and Dine cafe on 70west
ОтветитьHot Springs was the Switzerland for Indian nations . And yes we are southern and believe in manners and common courtesy
ОтветитьPretty, affordable state.
ОтветитьArkansas is a beautiful state and where I've lived my entire life. Fort Smith, my home, is an old west town with Judge Parker's Courthouse and hanging gallows, Miss Laura's, a lot of old west history. So many lakes and mountains. And yes, Woo Pig Sooey, Razorbacks!!!
ОтветитьGood vid but f Walmart.
ОтветитьArkansas is definitely southern. Maybe not in the big citys but the small towns definitely are!
ОтветитьPlanning to move from Oregon to the Baton Rouge area this fall. My wife and I are older musicians and can hardly wait to become part of the music scene there. And the food Is to die for. In fact I plan on getting fat and clogging my arteriesis with fish and chips and passing away with my face in a plate of crawfish.
Most of all I'm ready for the friendly people. Don't get me wrong. People here by Portland Oregon are friendly too. I mean, where else can you find a hooker, a meth adict and a gender pronoun all living in peace under the same bridge.
Former Gov. Mike Huckabee often said "Arkansans fry everything. We even fry water."
ОтветитьL'Ya Hot Springs, AR........see ya soon..................
ОтветитьCome to the eastern part of the state
ОтветитьGetting beer? Why? Never drink!
ОтветитьWow, you’re right outside the Yellville courthouse. It’s funny seeing you here, I usually watch your international travel videos. I used to climb in and out of that lower window on the steps as a kid, on your left shoulder. One block away Id meet for cubscouts, and my dad had guitar lessons right across the street. I was part of the turkey trot parade and boxcar racing as a kid bc of being in cubscouts. I grew up in Pyatt, Arkansas, outside yellville until I was 10 years old and I moved to central Arkansas. When I lived there, my last year of school converted from Bruno-Pyatt school district to the Ozark Mountain school district, but yellville is still its own district I think, or yellville/summit. Anyways, thanks for the walk down memory lane, enjoyed your video as always, take care!
ОтветитьWhat a change of pace to hear a positive outlook on AR. Most people, even the ones here, tend to speak negatively. But it really is a great state. That being said, to all that don't live in AR: Don't move here. Let's keep it great
ОтветитьBeer at the gas station!? And I thought we Aussies liked to drink
ОтветитьArkansas two letters better than Kansas
ОтветитьI grew up in the delta (eastern arkansas) and we definetly think we are in the south.
