I think you nailed the level of depth. Detailed and nuanced enough but digestible. Great job.
ОтветитьThe most unrealistic part is humans not having problems with anyone
ОтветитьElves never sleep, but fall into a trance for a few hours every day? So... sleep?
ОтветитьYou forgot to add that Drow society is a matriarchy, which means female have higher status than male
ОтветитьThis video is the best of the ones I’ve watched on race and lore, great job brodie 🎉
ОтветитьOne thing that confuses me with D&D and it’s sub races is the inconsistency with sub races like with the Elves and Dwarves. The Dwarves have the corrupted ones but are still dwarves as they come from the same origins but the Drow and Elves are separated as different races even they their transition with the under dark, to me, sounds exactly the same. Why not just have Drows as Elves also?? Humans having no sub races (distinct from ethnicity) makes sense because of the very short life span and how the mana or magic of this world affects us… we don’t live long enough to have any meaningful influence by it and we in lore don’t have a history of acute selective breeding because, well we’ll die 😂. I just don’t understand the division of sub races doesn’t make sense… same thing with the green folk the Gyith like how is that a sub race??? It’s just people of different mindsets choosing different ideologies, it’s like saying Blue States and Red States (American politics) are sub races of people 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI'll be honest. I was very interested but i thought it'd be great to fall asleep too. I do that allot. But it was so interesting i watched the whole thing lol. Very well done. Already checking out your other work on this game before we start this weekend. Also the artwork was gorgeous
ОтветитьGreat overview!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this overview. ❤
ОтветитьVincent Al Gogh
ОтветитьKilling it, for the Al Gough!!!
That’s how you spell it right…
Thank you so much ^^ helped a lot
ОтветитьMaking them perfect for role playing Dwarves, if you don't like Dwarves. Please don't hate Dwarves, they are awesome. Speaking ow which. Dwarves!
Awesome video, subbed.
I had to explain that you said “individual races section” and not “individual rascist sections” to my family when they heard it without headphones
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you
ОтветитьI think you're reading from the PHB and not from the game. Races no longer provide attribute bonuses but rather all characters get a +2 and a +1 to use freely. You should issue and pin a correction.
ОтветитьThank you for the video! Super informative!
ОтветитьHumans are by & large, that 1 Race that solves the burning issue of what Race is optimal to befit a certain Class - due to Humans being a blank slate to work with
Humans are essentially the most modular Race - you can assign Ability Scores to whatever you want, pick a Free Skill & Feat, right out of the box
Aside from Homebrew, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything - is the ultimate solution to the whole dilemma of which best fit which Class
Sunk about 30 hours into the game thus far and felt like I didn't know enough about the lore of the races, especially the Gith, to fully appreciate some of the major plot points. This video was solid to bring me up to speed!
ОтветитьI'm a complete newbie to D&D and Baldurs Gate so this video was the perfect intro! Thanks for making it!!
ОтветитьLove gnomes and wood elves
ОтветитьSo many people sleep on the Wood Elf + Mobile perk combo. Having a 13.5m move range is incredibly valuable if you’re playing a melee build, IMO.
ОтветитьThanks for all this important info and delivering it so well. Subbed and liked
ОтветитьExcellent video
I'm still dead set on making a Teifling Bard - channel my inner Rock & Rule
it is super refreshing to get some lore for each of the classes, im roing an elf rogue and trying to decide if I should go with the githyanki or the druid circle solutions from a ro perspective has been an struggle haveing some background is super dope thanks, oh and i dropped you a sup if you return the favor that would be dope if not thanks again for the info
Ответитьi really liked this video, thank you very much
ОтветитьThe primary difference between the two Gith’s is that one wanted revenge and go on the offensive, while the other wanted to go settle and find peace, while being primarily defensive As such.
ОтветитьI wish there where more races, these like 40+ playable races not counting subraces. Would have loved to play a Goliath, Aasimar, hell even a Tortle.
ОтветитьI want to try out my DnD Character I created ages ago and have them in the Game.
Going to buy an PS5 Version tho because it is still cheaper than the PC I would need to get :/
For the Character I would start with is more my self-insert Human Warlock... Besides him do I have an Female High-Elf Wizard, an Male Brass Dragonborn Paladin and Female Tiefling Fighter
Great video. Newcomer to this world and I must say you have done a great job with this video. Thank you for all your work that has gone into this video.
Well deserved sub!
Very nice. Let’s see Paul Allen’s class.
ОтветитьThis helped a ton and was fun to listen to, Subbed
ОтветитьI think this video was well written, just wish there wasn't mostly AI art shown here.
Ответитьomg I was struggling to pick what I want because roleplaying part is the one more important to me and its the one that is not really talked about much. I know a bit about dnd but not nearly enough to make a good choice. This video is literally perfect and I already have ideas for multiple playthroughs. Thank you so much for this!
ОтветитьThank you for the video.
No thanks for the Astarion's background spoilers.
Great video. Your glasses make you look like you have a unibrow
ОтветитьNice job. Good refresher for even veteran players.
Ответитьvery well thought out and can tell you spent a lot of time putting this together. Thanks so much as I plan my first playthrough of BG3!
ОтветитьAwesome video! Helped my selection immensely!
ОтветитьMuch appreciated!
ОтветитьThanks for this short overview
ОтветитьExactly the Video I was looking for! Still not sure what i'm gonna play though but at least now I have a little understanding of the races.
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I needed. Thank you. Very clear and concise. + 1sub
ОтветитьDude, say svirfneblin again
ОтветитьAs an RPGer....thank you so much for giving an informative, interesting video explaining the LORE and not just stats and what's best to play because of this move or that ability, etc. I really appreciate this video and have sent to everyone I know!
ОтветитьSo, if teiflings have solid colored eyes, why does Karlach have traditional white eyes with pupils?
ОтветитьI'm a D&D Noob, but I am very excited for Baldurs Gate 3. This Video gave me really good roleplay Inspirations so thanks for that ^^ you've got yourself a new Sub :p I will play a Seldarine Drow (Draconic Bloodline) Sourcerer who wants the help of the dwarfes who his Race wronged and get revenge on the Lolth-Sworn Drow who killed his best friend a Dragon who had the same Bloodline like him ^^
ОтветитьHalf-Drow all day.
ОтветитьMan why did you drop spoilers about Gale... Happily listening until this bit👎
ОтветитьDuergar = DEW•er•gar
That is all, great video
