this is great but i feel like its over kill, Vmix would elimate the other systems crashing at any moment
ОтветитьIs rodecaster pro 2 works for live events like (3 mics + 4 big speakers for audience)?
Ответитьdawg why not just use presets in obs on one computer
Ответитьthanks
Ответитьcan u please share the diagram of all the inputs and outputs you integrated for this program that's a great setup and i want this for my event as a permanent set-up
ОтветитьWow ! thanks for sharing. That's a great inspiration for us. I run a video production company since 5 years in France and we are specializing in livestream production, so we are roughly new but we are always looking for optimizing our workflow.
(sorry for my english if the words are not the good ones)
Something tells me he likes displays
ОтветитьThe table where did you get it?
ОтветитьAny idea what desk that is? Having such a big sit stand desk looks amazing!
ОтветитьWhat is generating the clock and timer?
ОтветитьYou need some cheap zoom PCs to host all those zoom calls.
ОтветитьJesus, I’ve worked in live broadcast galleries with less kit than that 😂
ОтветитьNeed to run zoom pro iso. Would cut down the need for a pin farm and give you individual full (transmittable) resolution video along with screen-shares and individual audio.
Ответитьwhy not use vms for the drones?
Ответитьwhere the heck is the sunblock?
Ответитьya lose me at the 8 laptops. I just cant.
Ответить6 hour set up lol????
Ответитьway to much
Ответитьsomeone tell me the actual use-case for all of this. I think I am missing key knowledge for why you need so many computers! legit stumbled across this video randomly
ОтветитьI can do this all on just one iPad pro.
ОтветитьAppreciate the flashiness - however, couldn't 80-90% of this be executed using 1-2 vMix machines?
Personally, I am a fan of reducing variables in my fully virtual and hybrid event setups, hence eliminating extraneous machines where able.
At first I thought this was a livestream setup for someone gaming on Twitch and was about to put you on blast 😂. This is super legit though! A lot of broadcasting things I had never known. Really cool
ОтветитьOh god, you made the zoom events on steroids 👍
Ответитьyou could ditch all the laptops with a beefy pc running virtual machines for each zoom camera/presenter you need to capture. Even do deactivated output from discrete passed through gpu to the agem.
Ответитьyou ever consider using mini pcs instead of laptops? or using laptops primarily for the dual screen into the atem?
ОтветитьCouldn't you just virtualize all of the zoom clients into one computer instead of having multiple laptops?
Ответитьwhere can i buy the desk
ОтветитьI wouldn't enlarge presentations if they are not 16x9 because you risk cutting off text. Instead use a background image and cut off the black bars.
ОтветитьBro this setup is amazing!
Literally my dream setup, but welp stuff is very expensive. I currently only use a smaller older atem for the productions needs I have, but this would be my dream. Except one thing:
Building and disassembling this setup is not even remotely nice. Have you considered putting some stuff into a portable rack, maybe with wheels on it?
Like you can totally put both video switches, the networking and the web presenter into a rack unit. (Also helps with cable management) I would even rack the Pcs if they weren't laptops. Otherwise a totally sick setup that is an absolute dream for everyone who is present in that industry.
Also I would bring a bigger PSU because that thing won't run the show for long in case power fails. Plus is the networking power backed up as well, because otherwise backing up your setup makes no sense in such an extreme remote production setup.
Love it
ОтветитьThis is demn good. Thanks for sharing your setup… I think vmix would be easier and convenient.. I’m starting my setup but in debate with myself which route to go..
ОтветитьBro has more screens then I have brain cells
Ответитьis this really cheaper than a pre ricked rack with a decent switcher? 8 macbooks seem like a bit much. Bu really intresting video and smarty configured!
ОтветитьCan I ask why did you choose the laptops? don't you think mac mini would do the job an less screens to focus on main screens?
ОтветитьGotta ask: Why not use ZoomISO instead of those Zoom drone machines? I have been using ZoomISO since it was released and output 4 full screen presenter feeds per M1 mac mini. Cleans up the desk and allows me to switch the Zoom presenters in those ZoomISO feeds in a flash.
ОтветитьOne thing that a company I work with do to cut down on space is instead of using laptops they have rack mounted Mac mini’s, and instead of having a ton of monitors for each macmini, they get a few large monitors and they use the blackmagic multiview 4s and rout the computers to whatever monitor makes sense for workflow. That gives you a lot more desk room and flexibility.
ОтветитьSo I love the setup.... is that possible with windows? I don't use Mac and never will (don't hate, it is simply preference and ease of use). I ask because I know there are some macro softwares only available on mac and such.
ОтветитьThis is unnecessary. I think i will show something in the future how i would do this but for everything i can do the same stuff under 1500€.
Ответитьits like using a bazooka to kill a mouse
Ответитьeach of those laptops has got to be right around $2k (so about $16000 total in JUST laptops), the stream deck xl, $250, steam deck plus $200, atem sdi extreme iso $1500, some kind of second switcher for however much money (looks like some kind of atem product), some kind of mixing board, tons of cables, etc... that's at least $20k in gear on that table and a GIANT pile of spaghetti cables behind there.
For this kind of workflow, I would need 1 powerful desktop pc (say something like a 24 or 32 core threadripper machine with 256gb of ram, and i'd go with 3x4tb ssd's. and a 4090 gpu (or something with lots of compositing resources and high quality hardware encoders for h.264 and av1 (whichever I choose to output.). I would use OBS studio as recorder, switcher, the lower thirds plugin works great, you can multistream out of it, there are solid plugins for multirecording, etc. and I would build automation workflows with touchportal and use my phone via usb to do simplified camera switching. I can run audio directly through obs as well and route that to a touchportal page if i want or just keep it on screen and adjust live (it also allows me to go in and apply sound effects (vst's, eq, compression, upwards compression, noise suppression, noise gate, etc. to compensate for problematic mics and the like. I would run a virtual machine for each zoom breakout room I need to capture, set up obs window capture for each zoom session, set up multiple displays similar to what's going on with the mac setup only on a single computer for WAAAY less money. I've done a TON of webex and zoom capture this way (rarely with breakout rooms but with the aid of virtual machines, it shouldn't be a problem. I would also go with fewer larger displays (I've grown used to my 3x 48" lg 4k displays on my desk for such things).
Thank you for inspiring me to push my current setup for recording zoom/webex further with the integration of solutions for breakout rooms... I'm not sure how far I can push virtual machines on my current workstation (5950x (16c/32t), 128gb of ram, 4090), but my homelab consists of 5x dell optiplex sff desktops, each with 64gb of ram, 2tb ssd running proxmox ve, so I should be able to prototype such a setup even if it isn't all on the same workstation (which I could TOTALLY do with a slightly more performant machine). either way, I'm confident that I could do everything you're doing here at easily half the price with just as simple of an automation workflow (if not simpler). OBS studio is an EXTREMELY powerful piece of software with a ton of plugins, and touchportal is a fantastic streamdeck replacement that allows me to use my phone and it's got a REALLY easy to use automation system that's super easy to learn even for laypeople and non-programmers to do some pretty complex stuff within obs, obs plugins, and other software.
My only response: 'WTH'
ОтветитьThis guy has 10 jobs
ОтветитьQuite the production.
Ответить1 x Zoom Iso rig would have saved atleast 5 laptops on this setup.
Ответитьcrazy
ОтветитьDude has more macs then I do in my collection of broken macs.
