Maybe having dogs inside is repulsive for your family. Perhaps it is a cultural thing. Most white people dote on their animals and they sleep inside, so please don’t paint all South Africans with the same brush when it comes to this issue.

South Africa is a British Colony my dear. The Dutch hijacked it along the way and this is why you find both accents in SA. Regarding load shedding, in Kzn we haven't had load shedding since last year nor water shortages in over a year. What is going on where you are? Damn! 😮

I believe you only visit home affairs only once for I'd application. Then they give you a date for collections. Sometimes they would send you an sms for ID and license collections

We had medical insurance for our dog

There's something called culture shock, it's about an expectation based on what one is familiar with. Whenever I go to another country , I go with an open mind and enjoy myself as a result of not putting my expectations . I could say more but prefer to leave it here

I am South African and HATE public urination. Oh, I loathe it. I'm new here and I've just subscribed. You're adorable. We're generally not really pet-people like that. So pets, especially dogs, inside the house, is a no! I love cats and can have them in the house only because they are clean. I've never owned a dog and generally avoid pets cz I'm not about to treat a living thing badly. So I'll rather not have them. But I do wish I could.

Public urination if it was a crime in SA 70% of our brothers would be in prison, it is really painful to see it ,they do not want yo stop they even pee behind the toilet if the toilets is outside, it is a big deal but they do not want to stop scarying children.

Black south Africans hate cats. They associate them with witchcraft. They both hate and fear cats. Dogs r seen as guard dogs to keep intruders at bay.

Public peeing has become worse in recent years. During apartheid it was against the law just like doing public fire but u see peoe doing it anywhere and everywhere. It is disgusting to say the least

What about this car guards at shopping malls and everywhere else who expect u to give them money for helping u park and car sitting your vehicle when uv parked your car. They r annoying those ones😅

dogs are dirty , cats are creepy plus they mostly used for witchcraft, plus both those animals shed their fare, you fiind fare in everything, they smell funny, DOGS SHOULD BE KEPT OUTSITE, if i find a family that keeps a dog indoor i dont wish to touch or eat any of their food, is like white people kissing dogs in their mouth but claiming dogs are the cleaniest , they just justifying their filthy behaviour, no dogs should be kept indoors
