I think the Wretch is an as of yet unnamed Sentinel. Look at Valen and Doomguys armor and they're of a similar design. He could be literally an armorer that got stuck in hell and modified Doomguy a much more efficient suit.

so im still confused about Davoth physical similiar with Doomguy. is Davoth physical body formed by the one who willing to ressurect him from the sphare from (in this case doomguy)?

I honestly like the story of doom 2016 more. It seems a bit more grounded and coherent. All that jazz about killing god than the dark lord than god again is unnecessary imo. Just let us know its the doom marine from the 90s that got empowered misteriously and exiled in hell and leave us to slay some demons. No need for such grandious pompouseness

Yeeeaahhh...not buying the "the-story-of-the-doomslayer-is-over" no matter what the devs say.
Kratos' arc was supposed to be over in GOW III. Stig Rasmussen said himself at E3 (or some other major videogame showcase) that Kratos' story "WILL END." It was definitive and absolute. Yet here we are with the second installment of Dad of War. That's not the only franchise where devs have said "THIS IS IT!", only to turn around and reboot it, have a reboot sequel or a straight up sequel AND prequel. Devs saying no more Doom Slayer? That's CAP.
Doom without the Doom Slayer is NOT a Doom game. That would be franchise suicide.
Secondly, in the games, every time we're in first person, that is a conscious, active Doom Slayer. Seeing him conscious while being buried alive leads me to conclude that Doom Slayer was weakened and paralyzed in the sarcophagus, but very much alive. He didn't turn into a life sphere or anything else. There's nothing stopping the Makyrs from bringing him back. Sam Makyr is still alive, the demon blade is still out there, and no one is ruling hell right now. Who's to say Sam Makyr or any other Makyr wouldn't try to go for Hell's power seat? And the other Makyrs seeing this would try to resurrect him to stop THAT bullshit. The Makyrs can bring souls back, after all.
The machines that imbued Doom Slayer with Davoth's power are still around, the Father is still around... there's too much that leaves open the chance for Doom Slayer to return. And if there IS a being higher than Davoth, I'm pretty sure the Doom Slayer will be called upon to rip and tear once more.

The ancient gods was a mistake. They’ve written themselves into a corner. There is no Doom without the slayer. They should have saved that content for the next game. There only being 2 OG dooms was dumb and it still is now.

As far as I'm concerned, the lore introduced in Doom Eternal is not canon. What an absolute shit show the lore is. Hugo Martin turned a perfectly decent, straight-forward and simple cosmic-horror/sci fi-horror story into some lame-ass, cringe-inducing high fantasy tale in space that tries so desperately to be anything other than Doom.

It stands as violent opposition to engaging dialogue, that much is damn certain...
What i learned: If your enemy is bigger and more imposing than the usual demons you crush, don't worry, that just means they have bigger guts for you to rip and tear. That's always encouraging.
I also enjoyed the nostalgia of Aliens: The Earth War and Beyond the Earth War, the design of this comic being very similar.
I dig it.

I like how the art of Doom Slayer has him resembling Michael Shannon's MoS Zod.

Looking back on this i know why i only really liked doom 16. the lore really spun out of bounds, i dont think they planned it right from the beginning. ending is underwhelming and the dark lord was kinda not that big of a deal at all...
