First of all, In order to have background checks to work, you have to have a National gun registry. We have already seen what a state like CA does with a state gun registry. They declare someone who was not a "violent offender" suddenly be someone who no longer can have a gun, and suddenly you get a Swat team raiding your house, and YOU had no idea that you were no longer legal to have a gun.
