I was fortunate to sing in a Symphony Choir (when living in South Africa) that performed Feel the Spirit (and some shorter works), conducted by the composer himself. A lovely, inspiring, unassuming man, and an unforgettable event in my life.

It’s always a pleasure to listen to John Ritter’s pieces. I am glad I had an opportunity to sing them in one of my church choirs.

I have been singing John Rutter's music most of my adult life and I well remember when i heard it for the first time in a book store in Alexandria, VA in 1969. It was part of a Christmas from Clare College collection on a 331/3 album being played through the store's P/A system. It literally STOPPED ME IN MY TRACKS and I asked that I be allowed to purchase the album. Thankfully, it was for sale! He writes incredibly beautiful music, many pieces I have had the honor to sing with different vocal organizations. My personal favorite is "What Sweeter Music." I also love "All Bells in Paradise." Mr. Rutter has a God-given talent that I hope wil be with him and us for many more years. He is truly a British National Treasure!!

Back in high school in 1987, I was introduced to the musical genius of John Rutter. In 5 years of choir at my school I performed his Gloria and Requiem and many, many more of his singular works. Years later, I did many of those songs teaching my own high school choir. It was the beauty of Rutter's works that instilled a lifetime love and appreciation for beautiful choral music.

I was fortunate to sing in Rutter’s group, when he premiered his works in the USA in the 80’s! I’ve sung his pieces dozens of times and still thrills me! So glorious and he demands perfection…..especially with diction…hard on sopranos with any vibrato..😊

I had this music at my wedding and my father who was the organist just LOVED playing it, was very special!! This music brings back very fond memories! :)

My Boychoir loved this one..so funny, one day several of them came to me and asked. "Miss Susan can we sing GREGORIAN CHANTS?" I did some interesting Music History with them experientially.they loved it...

Very recently I woke up very unsettled in the middle of the night. I started this album on my headphones and soon was able to sleep peacefully once again. It’s been too long since I sang this music with choirs.

I am a cellist and love to play anything by Rutter. I especially love Out of the Deep.
