We Fit A HUGE TV In A Tiny Apartment! (85 inch)

Working on buying a house... we’re in a transition apartment that is quite small but works even for a huge tv lol.

I've got a 43" TV in my small bedroom and I think that's too big but I did have a 23" previously. I suppose it depends what your used to but to me an 85" would be far too big for comfortable viewing unless you have a large room. It looks overwhelming!

I went from 55" to 120" recently. As strange as it sounds, your TV looks kinda small to me. My is a 120" ALR screen awith a 4K UST projector. Can never go back to normal TV...

Can't imagine having to ask approval to mount something on the wall. You can put anything on the wall even when you're renting in EU, just when you move out of that house you have to fill the holes up.

Why is 11 feet the sweet spot? I have a 4K 75" and I sit 7 feet from it but only because I have a 60" right next to it. If you have a 4K screen especially with HDR you don't need to sit far. Sit way closer and enjoy an much more immersive experience. 85" at 5 feet is a complete field of view experience. "Common knowledge", which is almost always wrong, will tell you that it is bad for your eyes to sit so close but that is totally false. We sit inches away from out computer screens for hours each day with no significant adverse affect, TVs are just mass produced computer screens with more features and lower prices, so why do we think we need to sit so far? Get the biggest TV you can afford and sit as close as you like. It is complete hyperbole that sitting close is bad. Decades of office work have proved this conclusively.

I know I’m late and that practically no one is ever likely to respond to this comment.

I just have to say I have a Vizio Quantum X 75 inch P75QX-H1, and I’m happy to say that it’s actually a superior tv to the Sony Bravia 950H model, and all this at half the price.

I was actually surprised to find out that even though they are similar in performance, the Quantum X has higher contrast ratio, wider color gamut, and lower input lag, and was only $1,999.99
Recently, I found that the new Hisense U8H is even better the my tv, and by quite a lot. It’s hard to believe considering at the time, this was the best you could get for the price.

If my tv ever goes out, I’ll probably go for the Hisense U8H, or similar, comparable model.

At one point, the 85” Vizio Quantum X model was only $2,399.99, but at that point I had already gone from shopping for a 55” to a 75” and bought the 75.”

nice tv, looks very good but i dont recommend it for playing on a nintendo switch because the nintendo switch can only support 1080p and some games only 720p

We bought a 65” Sony Bravia a year ago, and so far, I love it. It sits a little high on our stand and would prefer it lower like yours. But my tv stand/fireplace will probably last forever, sigh. So no new stand for me. Does your tv have the capability of being a “piece of art” when not in use? I thought mine did, but I haven’t been able to figure it out 😮. Your tv is gorgeous!!!

My hd projector with 120inch screen was probably a quarter of the price, and with a touch of a button disappears into the ceiling.

Doesn't such a big TV that close strain your eyes?

My living room is 357 cm wide, which Google tells me is 11.7 ft - and my best TV wall has 180 cm of useable width, or 195 cm if I place the TV on my current stand. So I actually could fit an 85" TV on a stand, or 80" wall mounted.

...now I just need the money for it, too 😂
