It sounds like there is something big down in that lake there, but a 50-foot long, aggressive eel is probably not it.

I wouldn't be on the lake in a small boat. I would have to have a very big boat to do my research.

I'm glad that there are people that will go out and be potential bait for these animals just for research.

Amd also for our knowledge and entertainmemt.

They're scientists and they ran away from something they couldn't identify? I thought thats what they live for! No very good scientists I'd say.

This guy at the end has ZERO proof that the creature doesn't need to come up for air. There are plenty of animals that do not need to come up to breathe for large chunks of time. As elusive as this creature seems to be, it can easily know when and where to get oxygen without being noticed. there are many creatures that hibernate under water for the entire winter that need oxygen to survive. Also, there are always pockets of air under the ice that remain for the entire winter even though a lake is 100%frozen over. So, there are PLENTY of factors to take into consideration before just saying - "We have our monster and it's an eel!!". Yet NOBODY has ever seen recorded an eel that is around 15 meters in length? Maybe it is... but he has zero evidence to base this uneducated guess. Which we know isn't even grounds to call a hypothesis.

No way in fuck you'd catch me diving into the depths of that lake after finding out there's some massive fish the size of an 18 wheeler just prowling around ... Not enough money on the planet would convince me otherwise.

Why do most of these explorers not carry camera.
Trail cameras that purport to show monsters are blurrier than images made 150+ years ago?

They did scans of Loch Ness in the 70's, they got two hits, they were smaller than a whale but larger than a shark. Coelacanth are supposed to be extinct but are regularly caught off the coast of Australia and cooked. Plus they all look the same, no evolution happening at all.

The video lost me when they showed the outboard motor floating on the lake, Then he says that the sturgeon can weigh as much as an elephant. The largest sturgeon ever caught was 1571 kgs. , but the average elephant weighs 5450 kgs, nearly ROUR TIMES as much as the biggest sturgeon on record.

So at 15 meters or 49 ft the readings could of picked up congregatng beluga sturgeon that reach a length of 26 ft well over 3000 lbs just two of them would easily cover the 15 meters shown by sonar.

Scientists think all sorts of creatures are "extinct for millions of years" until one washes up on shore. Plesiosaur seems like the most likely candidate to me.

While sturgeon can be aggressive, they don't aim for the boat motor and immediately get rid of it like that. That shows more intelligence than a sturgeon would have

It’s a giant squid. 15m long, with a beak and extremely flexible body that can stop a boat in its tracks? Plus is thrives in cold water and doesn’t need to breathe air? Squid.

They don't know there could be caves somewhere that the pleadosaurus could get air or even survive in the ice I mean there are a lot of animals that they said were extinct that they have found and in the ocean in The Lakes we have no clue

I want to believe in this story , but 15 m sounds too big . I wish more advanced sonar was used .

But if it's elongated , i agree it could be a monster Eel , or Sturgeon , but not 15 m , maybe somewhere below 10 m . Also it may have grown to this immense size by being the sole Apex Predator in the lake + plenty of foods .

It's terrifying for sure , especially since it's family must be there as well .
