Finally, the video I have been searching for! Thanks!
ОтветитьI have a MKII, Have the top and frame but never installed ....maybe this is the year.
ОтветитьThe good life~
ОтветитьIt would be very interesting to see how your quick release for the seat belt works, you have clearly engineered your own fitting. Many thanks!
ОтветитьVerdeckalptraum it,s english !
ОтветитьThanks for the instructions, really helped!
ОтветитьExcellent video by long time MGA owner!
Ответитьif the idea is to do this as a stoplight, you'll have to choose a long one. :) and putting those sidecurtains away ain't all that quick or simple either. great color combination BTW.
ОтветитьMuch nicer than my 60.
ОтветитьYou need to find the electric switch.
ОтветитьI wonder why they made this so cumbersome? Why not do what everybody else does and just make a top that unlatches and flips back? Alfa Romeo did this with no issues.
Ответитьas much as I love MGs (own a '72 BGT), I find this top design beyond comprehension ... omg what a production 😮 and God help you in a sudden monsoon like where I live! I'm viewing this video because a 62 Mk2 MGA has taken up residence in my shop 🙄 so thanks for posting 😊
ОтветитьBeautiful car, call the italians to design a soft top.
ОтветитьDo you hsve video for putting top back up?
ОтветитьWatch Edward Fox taking down the roof of his Alfa Spyder in Day of the Jackal .. Depressingly easy!
ОтветитьWell done !
Your car appears to be painted Porsche Guards Red.
Great video, watched this one 1st when i got the car as hadnt got a clue how to get the roof down, now i do...and watched your other video the 1st time i put the roof up, well done and please do some more MGA videos.
Ответитьway more complicate than the w113
ОтветитьThat was quite a production. It took nearly the entire video of 3+ minutes to get the top down. It takes me all of 5-6 seconds to get the top up or down on my 2020 Mazda Miata. For the life of me, I can never figure out why the Brits couldn't have come up with a simpler, faster convertible top... the Japanese had to do it!! oh well!! 🤔
ОтветитьWhat a ball-ache. I have an MGA but I've only ever driven it in fine weather so have never put the hood up.
ОтветитьGorgeous car. Wait! Where’s the door handle?
ОтветитьI'll better just buy a Miata
ОтветитьHello John, I was fighting again with the soft top of my mga 1600, Then I saw your video and it helped me a lot. But, I just can't manage to get the frame stand upright. Do you have any tips for me? (Cornelius from the Netherlands)
ОтветитьSlightly better than my MG where you stored the hood in the boot along with the frame and installed a tonnuea over the passenger compartment.
ОтветитьOh geez, I better get a hard top.😂😂😂
ОтветитьVery good video. I just used it to figure how to properly fold the roof on my bosses newly acquired 1960 A after looking like a bit of a chump on my first go. I have had MGB's forever and they are much easier to fold or pack however the Japanese and Italians really have it nailed. Cheers!
