When my sister was in 12th, my mother used to give food tiffins to people. So big dal rice we used to keep in cooker to boil.

One day me and my mother went in market, when came back 2-3 bells after my sister opened the door somehow shattered, shaking saying cooker blast, all boiling dal and rice forcefully throwned on roof and all hot dal rice fall on my head.

Her head was full of hot dal and rice.she was crying, shouting by hot burning her head. We simply ran in kitchen...it was all dal rice on walls roof and all over the floor..sticky everywhere.

We took sister in bathroom made her seat down and all tap water poured on her head slowly slowly..washed it.. made her lie down on sofa...wiped her hairs by towel...gave her air breeze...and put burnol in her head then runningly went to doctor and brought medicine.. applied medicine on her head. Gave har tablets. After that she recovered in 2-3 days. We washed all kitchen after that. But it was horrible experience of her life..and ours too. After that she was fine till now. But then we prayed to God pls save her, pls save her. Thanks to my lovely God that, it saved my sister Pramila.

Always and always after keeping cooker on gas, first 5 -6 minutes keep full gas, and then slow the gas...blast will not take place...if happens, it will be by lower force. Will not harm anybody.

Clean the steam pipe, remove the whistle blow some good amount of air into the pipe, check the pipe with your eye is something stuck or not before closing the lid.

I think we should stop using Pressure cookers. There is no need really. But if you really want to use. Use the ones with lid closing inside not like the one this video has. Where the lid is enclosing the cooker.

The same happened with my mother years back. The cooker went away flying right above her head. The explosion was literally like a bomb going off. She was safe

WTF is camera doing in kitchen?

We don't have chimney . In my house it didn't blast but the cooker took a 5 feet jump from stove and fallen next to water can which is 4 feet away. That time my wife was filling water in bottle. Fallen closely next to her. Very lucky. 🙏

So, this happened in my home twice.
1. We used right cooker, cooker lid, and washer, gasket, all were fine.
2. Problem was with the utensil inside.
3. We put a tall utensil and a lid on the utensil.
4. Now, this lid on the utensil inside the cooker closed the whistle inlet, and the safety valve also completely.
5. Now cooker is an airtight container waiting to explode, and exploded twice.

All this because we were 'overloading' the cooker with a 'tall' utensil, which is almost as tall as the cooker itself.
