Could you have saved the dark shirt by covering the image with white then do the transfer on white?

Good evening,

I would like some advice because I am currently launching my business and doing tests. I tried your DTF hack technique. To tell you, I have an SG500 printer with Sublijet ink. Being French, I was unable to have access to a certain brand of DTF paper, so I have the following paper: the TRILINIK DTF transfer film brand. I did all the steps in your video but at the printing stage, my design had darker places like dots and when I applied the powder it was still visible. Do you know why the ink has dots? Is it the ink, is it the programming that needs to be changed in terms of printing? I'm a little lost and would like some help to get my design perfect Thanks :)

OK so the main reason to use DTF ink is to print on cotton (because Sublimation ink wont got lower than 65% poly) and this technique (hack) shows you how you can use sublimation ink with DTF FILM to make a vibrantly colored shirt at a low cost (because sulblimation ink is lower in cost than DTF ink.) Is this correct? :3 So My question is, how hard is it to align the white part with the ink on top? Has anyone tried this technique, how easy or hard is it to align? Any other interesting info? Thank you!

But how do u print on dark cotton fabric with a design that has white or with a white color mixture cause we all know that dtf printers come with white inks and with white t shirt even if it is cotton and the sublimation printer does not have white inks it can work.but what about black t shirt cause the sublimation printer cannot produce white.will it still work ?

Thanks for showing the mistake, I just had the same exact problems with my Epson Wf 7710 from the dtf paper not going through to pressing an all black image lol. I ended up using the rear paper tray and it went right through. Glad to see I'm not the only one who had this happen and there's still hope.

I hope you didn't throw away that black shirt. I think you can put the white Vinyl down on top of it, and then do your sublimation on the white. No one has to know what's underneath.

Ответить
@telegramtrader
@telegramtrader - 14.07.2023 23:47

That's an interesting video.
You are polymerizing your shirt with glue while the sublimation ink is still wet. Not a bad idea, except that sublimation ink will get fully cured at about 400 degrees Farenhight. At low temp sublimation, the dye will start to migrate and the image will become blurry after a few washes and then wash out. At 400 degrees Farenhight to fully cure sublimation ink you will burn the coton.
To get your results more white on the dark shirts I would try to mix some titanium dioxide powder with the glue or try to find pre mix white glue if that even exists.
It takes a lot of research to come to valid results that can be used for mass production.
