[PARTIAL SPOILERS] i totally agree with you guys, my delivery on the 1% revenue cut was poor looking back, think the fact i knew bryan didn’t receive a penny in the end made me over exaggerate 1% being a poor cut for bryan doing so little, if godus had done well, it would’ve been a nice share, sadly it didn’t pay off
Ответить"I broke the cube and all i got was this lousy tshirt"
ОтветитьI downloaded the trail, from the app store, and I can say it's definitely full of micro transactions, however I never even got past the tutorial because it was so broken, involving a raccoon and completely broken ai, if they cant even make a mobile game tutorial with a raccoon work, I have no idea who was behind the Fable series
ОтветитьI'm playing Godus now, it’s pretty awesome actually. Turns out the company that designed the game engine went out of business and they couldn’t do updates to the game so they had to port the engine to add new updates. There’s been a few updates this year so it’s not dead and abandoned.
Ответитьapple screws everyone, lol what a surprise...
ОтветитьAbout the game mentioned at the end of the video, I actually played The Trail and I have never up until now heard of Curiosity or Godus.
Ответитьi havent thought about this game since middle school ; - ;
ОтветитьI had heard of godus before I heard of curiosity 💀
Ответитьimagine being so confident in your sales that you cut a bigger hole in your door in case theres not enough space for all the fanmail and stuff
Ответить"Entire Fable serious" Game developement is hard but since when Fable is impressive
ОтветитьIt's not Israel, it's called Palestine. There is only Palestine, Israel doesn't exist.
ОтветитьJ J Abrams' Mystery Box: The Video Game
ОтветитьI would have fully expected 1%. If the game managed $1M a month, that's still about $250K over the course of two years. Calling that life changing is pretty bunk but it's not a total cop out.
Never getting anything, now that's full Peter😂
As a person in the middle east, im mad because they took my beans
ОтветитьPetah
ОтветитьWhat im curious about is how ppl kept falling for his lies
ОтветитьThe Trail: Frontier Challenge released in 2017
ОтветитьSo how's the NFT game doing?
ОтветитьFunny to think about the fact that this is the same Peter who overhyped that Microsoft AI companion thing, ending up with someone always by his side, making sure he doesn't open his mouth during interviews because that's what always ended in a huge mess.
ОтветитьThis is only barely related, But
I remember playing The Trail SOOOOO much. I'm so glad I was reminded of it, I wonder if it still exists... It was so cozy, And had such nice interactions.
I don't remember this at all.
Ответитьimagine if the life changing prize was billions of debt
ОтветитьYO WAIT I PLAY GODUS- NO WONDER I THOUGHT THE LOGO LOOKED FAMILIAR-
Ответитьh
ОтветитьAre we not even gonna mention the masterpiece that was Black and White for PC? That game was my bread and butter growing up! I remember teaching my creature how to kick horses and throw villagers into other villagers. Ah, the good ol' days.
Ответитьbryanb
ОтветитьYou know what, that beans in the middle east company did not sound like a bad living. I'd love to export easy convenient food to another country while also seeing what it's like there. Though I can relate with Brian's reaction, this is one of those things you just can't win with
ОтветитьI spent the entire time on that app drawing swastikas and penises.
ОтветитьSuddenly all that Molyneux bashing by Guru Larry makes sense.
Ответитьi used to play/watch people play Godus.
Ответитьi like the part where he showed us inside the cube
Ответитьr/place before r/ place
ОтветитьEsglische Jules, aber ohne Witze
ОтветитьGodus was actually pretty good when it came out, but over time they made the game so much worse, and they even removed the multiplayer mode.
ОтветитьPet is a great liar
ОтветитьIt's so funny that the guy working at the baked beans company that they mistook for a tech company actually happened to know about the technology.
ОтветитьWait so Peter has literally ALWAYS been a bullshitter?
ОтветитьIt's exceptionally Molyneux that his whole career started with lying to Commodore, blatantly lying to customers has been the hallmark of said career.
ОтветитьAh yes, Peter Molyneux. The Ken Block of the games world.
ОтветитьI was. born 2 days after the cube was broken (28 of may 2013 im ten)
ОтветитьI remember having a jailbreak at this time and using auto tapper and the tweak that lets you bypass coins. Was breaking that mf like crazy.
ОтветитьIs it me or is the thumbnail looks like a trollface?
ОтветитьI still remember this hype I only clicked for about half an hour before being bored
ОтветитьPeter went from the absolute GOAT to an absolute goat.
ОтветитьBullfrog used to make some nice games. Not tremendously splendid, but ok. I enjoyed Magic Carpet (even if the first part was immensely bugged). Syndicate (and its sequel) was nice, too. Other titles were just as well, not necessarily my cup of tea, but still alright. But ... yeah. The person behind the company seems to be a contemptibly obnoxious person, tho didn't know that at the time. He was supposed to arrive at Pixel Heaven in 2016.. didn't, claiming he's sick (and it's not impossible he lied), appeared on a Skype talk, but yeah... that's nothing compared to an opportunity to ask a few questions in person (especially if they could've been uncomfortable ; ). Only then I got aware by fellow gamedevs that he's pretty much despised/hated in the community for being - well - an asshole. Turns out that's just another piece to prove this.
ОтветитьDoesnt Kurgzesagt advertise curiousity?
ОтветитьI thought this was talking about the Kaaba in Mecca at first with the thumbnail and all haha
ОтветитьGodus had such potential as a game. I remember it actually being kinda fun in it's own wierd little way. But it fell to the curse of microtransactions, and then was left to rot by an uncaring company... what a waste...
