Thank you Tomo, this one is Gold!🎸🎶👍
ОтветитьHow much time do you spend to play guitar in a day?
ОтветитьThank you. You make playing fun
Ответитьtomo sir please help me at any how actually my problem is when I solo or play lead behind any chord backing track I just got stuck into shapes like minor pentatonic or major pentatonic etc..... what I do I just play according to these shapes which doesn’t sound musical at all and keeps me into the zone of repeating things or licks.
Help me how to change the game from here it’s been many years I’m just doing same thing.
For eg - if I’m into Am backing track then what I do I start minor pentatonic but only according to shape wise and same with other scales with me. I tried to learn many licks to put in my playing but there are millions of licks no one can remind them all the time. Please enlighten me on this 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good job, Tomo. Practicing diligently while keeping it fun is the way to go!
ОтветитьSir do you do online classes I'm from 🇮🇳 India. I know only basic chords and major scales. I want to improve and write my pieces. I don't understand blues but I feel there are solos and rhythm in my body
ОтветитьOH Tomo, thank you! man I tried to keep up. This is awesome! I was hopeful to see you show an application of this great content.
Ответитьthank u maestro,teacher,professor your the best ✌️
ОтветитьIt's nice when you "play", great lesson.
Ответитьdoh, lost me at :40....gotta back up =) ill be back
ОтветитьTomorrow would be better before you showed us where to put our fingers first m8
ОтветитьClean teach
ОтветитьCould you please teach us how to figure out the key of a song. 2, 3 and 4 chord progressions. Thank you
ОтветитьJust make’s me smile!
ОтветитьThank you Tomo, I've just learnt more from this video than I have in a long time.
I appreciate that and enjoy how you demonstrate and then take us back to learn the basics so we can understand the fundamentals. My passion to learn has been reignited.
Thank you Tomo-san! I learned so much about guitar especially patience! You are very kind to make these videos.
ОтветитьThat was extraordinary! Domo arigato Mr Fujita! Greeting from Greece.
ОтветитьSo if I don't know the every note on the fretboard, how can I change the inversion for the same chord? still need to memorize every note on the fretboard?
Ответитьyou're the best!!!
ОтветитьWhen he plays the solo's, is he playing the notes of the different triads seperately on different places of the guitar neck ?
Ответить... that sequence reminded my of John Lennon's jealous guy..
ОтветитьHow do you get the SRV strum? my pick seems to dig in
ОтветитьMost of the videos you posted are blues and jazz. I am more acoustic, slow rock, Beatles, Eric Clapton etc and songs that I can play with finger picking.
Ответитьthis guy has one of the most engaging teaching styles ever...
ОтветитьThank you so much for your patience and making all these videos must be hard work , i really like the way you teach and i hesitate to register on wisdom because i wonder if i will stand with theory
Ответитьこんにちは. Thank you so much for your instruction. I have learned so much in just two videos. I'm self taught and I know music theory and every chord on the guitar. But your video, help me understand more what Jimi was doing with his embellishments on major and minor chords. Triads are such a simple yet useful concept.
ОтветитьMr. Tomo thank youu for the video i was confused at first but after watching it a couple
Of times ive started to understand the triads and how to use them. But i have a question can you use one triad shape with others of a different chord?
Yeah, except Do rey me is in G. Each scale has it's own version of Do rey me. You know Tee? Yeah that's F#. The scale of A# doesn't sing do rey me. Neither does B, or C or C# or D. But G does.
ОтветитьFirst, thank you Tomo! Two things that set you apart: ‘write it down’, and, ‘don’t just rely on knowing the triad shapes’. Good ‘wisdom’ indeed. I haven’t been able to break free from the perils of just knowing the ‘shapes’. But I’m very much on the good foot ( as brother James Brown, used to say ). Many thanks to you, Tomo.
ОтветитьThis exactly what I wanted to learn now. Thank you so much;)
ОтветитьHaisha moushiagemasu Tomo 🙏.
I have been playing keyboard and guitar since I was 4 years old. Music has been a constant and consistent friend in my life for my entire journey. Recently I've been dedicated to improving my guitar improvisation techniques and trying to finally step back and get an understanding of the basics so that I can make the step forward that I've been unable to rise to. Last night I sat on the couch with my guitar playing E triads slowly up and down the neck. Sounding each note distinctly and clearly. It made me smile! I looked at the "D" shape and thought "oh, let me try the other triad shapes from D and see what happens". E and D triads together! Simple sparks to a brighter light! Aka reta hikari.
You have many great gifts the greatest of which is sharing. Again, thank you so much!
Again many thanks Tomo. I can finally see how incorporating triads allows easy way for embellishments/cool fills. Which lesson for root on 5th 6th string triads. Loved the G D Em C stuff. My playing just got bumped up a notch. Off to practice now.
ОтветитьSuch beautiful playing. So inspired to get better!
Thx Mr. Tomo
Very melodic. Well done. One thing I learned as a young student was to practice with a metronome. It made such a difference in my playing throughout the years.
ОтветитьIncredible. Thank you, Sinsei. You have all the things.
ОтветитьIncredible. Thank u
ОтветитьThank You!
ОтветитьYou are a Scientist, so many great things said about you, hope you see I’m going to begin lessons and going to purchase a TOMOnez like you have there , So inspiring. Thank you for these videos, how many of your Caliber and Education Talent Generously give there Self away as you do? Can’t think of anyone at the moment! You are a Great person Sir, Much Respect! Serious About the guitar, read about the guitar and discovered you, and your hand and idea about it. Awesome!
ОтветитьTom,
Man, the more I watch your lessons the more I see HOW good you are!!! Purrfect!!👍🏻😉👏👏
Tomo you gave me hope learn again...thank you
ОтветитьHello and thank you for your wonderful lesson. Would you tell me please what triad shapes you would play on the top 3 highest strings over a 7th, 9th, 11 and 13th chord ? Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks for teaching me Triads a few years ago (Guitar Wisdom) I'm trying to incorporate them into my blues improv - to help me not play so boxy and "scaley". Man it takes so much repetition to get them to come naturally/quickly - vs having to use the big brain to think about them. Anyhow a labor of love. Thanks again.
Ответитьthank you 🙏
ОтветитьSo incredibly useful, new ideas to practice!
Thank you
Watching Tomo teach inspires me to pick up my guitar daily. Thank you, Tomo 😃
ОтветитьI can't tell where your fingers are on the fret board because the camera is too far away and your fingers are in the way.
Ответитьbeautiful lesson... no wonder you work at Berkeley... so many great musicians came from there and taught their
ОтветитьGot my guitar wisdom practice in this morning! Started with the q and a proficiency video. Best place to go in my opinion if anyone is lost. Getting more comfortable with playing the triads in different directions! Thank you tomo!
