OOOOO A LEGALLY BLONDE REFERENCE :DDDD
Ответитьu should totally do swanqueen
ОтветитьIdk what they are but they are definitely not heterosexual
Ответитьnow im wondering if all the sea monsters are gay. like, there is gay sea monster in luca, there is gay sea monster in undertale. why so many gay sea monsters?
ОтветитьNOT MR. BRIGHTSIDE😭
ОтветитьWAIT? Is THIS why we don't talk about Bruno? DAMMIT I JUST GAVE YOU FREE MATERIAL! 😵💫
ОтветитьYou know what else feels gay? Stand by me
ОтветитьI also think it is cool that their sea monster colors look like the gay flag <3
Ответитьas a bi enby dude, i kinda like that it's not explicitly gay, for me it leaves some room for masculinity to be something else. should disney stop being fuck knuckles and do something gay? probably but also eh i kinda like elements that stem from this 'ambiguous' space too.
ОтветитьThe directer literally said it was not a love story genius
ОтветитьHe's so right about the straight double standard. It's fine to 'groom' kids into being straight, but if it's gay then it has to stop.
ОтветитьI was like 9-10 when I watched this and was trying to convince myself I wasn't bi so I did not notice the gay and was a total Derrick. I apologize for that.
Ответить"what makes it so gay, despite it being gay"
ОтветитьMy friends seemed grossed out when I explained that the Luca fish were gay as in their words “why do you want to see kids kiss?”
Like it’s weird to ship two child cartoon characters, fair, but that’s not at all what I mean or what when I say the fish are gay
Now I must decide what is gayer… Luca and Alberto… or Basil and Sunny form Omori..? I can’t decide… so I choose… Taku and Yutaka from Ocean Waves!
ОтветитьHonestly haven't even watched your video yet...
But man, when I watched Luca I cried. I thought it was a beautiful [gay] adolescent love story, I felt like my inner child was given a big hug, and told that everything will be okay.
Absolutely fantastic movie.
Personally, I don't see Julia as lesbian. I see her as autistic.
ОтветитьHe’s probably gay but he might just act gay like I do with my friend, trust me it happens LMAO
Ответитьas an lgbtq person i was crocheting a few minutes before watching this and seeing crochet as the number one gay word killed me
ОтветитьHelpp the intro kinda got me with the sleeping
ОтветитьFor the record, I'm a straight chick, and I'm visually impaired (i.e. blind in my left eye, can't see so well out of my right), but you'd have to be BLINDER THAN ME to miss any of this. It's slapping you in the face with a cold, wet sea monster. Hell, my best friend was born completely blind and SHE could see it...which is why I don't like language that associates blindness with ignorance, but that's beside the point. I have a friend, I've known them (retaining pronouns out of respect for their privaacy0 for twenty years, and they actually came out to me recently. They didn't even know about their own sexuality until THE PANDEMIC, that's how deep in the closet they were. Or, well, can you be in the closet if you don't know thew closet is there? But they felt safe coming out to me but not to their very-Catholic family. What the hell is wrong with this picture, please? I hate phobes. I really do. Homophobes, xenophobes, disability-phobes, they can all f*ck off. I'm-a just stick with calling them "phobes" and hope that term catches on, because you won't usually find a one-minority-only bigot. As in "I hate all Mexicans, but I love everyone of every other minority." No, you don't usually get that, or at least I've never seen it. I just held my friend tight and told them how much I love them, and I could feel their anxiety, I swear, and I was like, "Don't be afraid. You have nothing to be afraid of from me." And they're older than me, and still this scared. Good Gods, my poor angel. I really do love them so, so much. I HOPE that's why they felt safe coming out to me. That and the fact that we bond over music, and literally all of my favourite musicians are gay. Oh, check out Jeremy Dutcher. HOLY SH*T, now that is one beautiful man. I met him about a month ago, and he is SO FECKING TALL. Most amazing singer I've ever heard, too, and I'm not being hyperbolic. He really is.
ОтветитьLOL, are you playing Bella Ciao in the background? That's an Anarchist anthem, you know. Both Fascism and Anarchism originated in Italy. I'm Italian on dad's side, and my grandfather fought against Mussolini despite being drafted by him. And by "fought against", I mean he just didn't do what he was told. Instead of firing on whoever "the enemy" was, he and his platoon fired into the air. Kinda hard to keep tabs on a bunch of boys from the remote Alps. And HELL is this an adorably gay story. I love how they play the Italian love language, which is to say body language, into it so much. The whole "Silenzio Bruno!" thing between them is so cute, not to mention the SCREAMING metaphor of keeping the bike together. Ah symbolism: it's so pretty when you know how to read it.
ОтветитьI think I ship them haha
But even if it isn’t canon and they’re just friends I’m fine with that too
I remember one time a group of my openly queer friends told me I was problematic for saying this movie was super gay and I was "playing into harmful stereotypes about gay men", and they also fed me full of a bunch of transmed bullshit when I came out and would constantly give me unsolicited advice on how to pass. I should probably be telling a therapist this, but a therapist can only give me at best one like, where as you people can give me a bunch of likes, so this is more healing than therapy when you think about it
ОтветитьI feel like it can be boht about a platonic friendship but also gay, it's a very common queer experience to be have the tipe of story that they have (I can honestly see beat for beat my childhood here) with some same sex friend, however you're too young to even think that can be romantic at the time.
ОтветитьAs an italian i say theyre gay
ОтветитьMe and my friend kept cheering and crying out about their wins and betrayals and stuff like "NOO GO BACK TO HIM WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!!!" and "OOOO HES JEALOUS" + "omg yes save your boyfriend" throughout the entire movie. Like yeah they didnt confirm in the movie like with speech that theyre gay but GOD its so obvious
ОтветитьAU where Alberto and Luca manage to hide they are sea monsters for a few years longer. they want to come out to their friends, and then when they go to do it they're like "I have something to tell you, I want you to remember I'm still me and I hope this doesn't change they way you see us-" and then their friends are like "we know" and they're like "oh thank god, we were so worried you'd hate us for being sea monsters" "of course we knew you were ga- wait sea monsters?!"
ОтветитьI had a crush on another boy when I was in kindergarten. Not the subject of the video, but I think it's important to constantly reiterate that LGBT kids do exist and always have and always will, and if you think otherwise, it's because you have not made enough efforts to understand other people's experiences.
ОтветитьWhy is gay the only topic on this channel?
ОтветитьI watched this video before watching Luca, so I noticed that the song played in the first scene (O Mio Babbino Caro) is about asking one's father to be understanding as they plan to elope in order to marry the man they want to be with. They plan to go to Porto Rosso to buy a wedding ring. Massive foreshadowing!
ОтветитьOmg Bella Ciao music in the background 🫡🫡🫡 very based of you once again Alex
ОтветитьI've binged a few of your videos on my sick day at home today, but this is the one that got me to subscribe. I love your energy <3
Ответитьexcuse me make more masterpieces like this
Ответитьi saw an ad for luca, first thought: "huh. gay movie". everyone i watch it with: "this is super gay". guys. but are they just friends?
ОтветитьWhat the hell
ОтветитьItalians are intrinsically gay
Ответить(Harris sent me)
A co-worker once said the "brotherly love" in Luca was a little much. I stopped myself from crying "brotherly love? it's g-g-g-gay!" Until i remembered I'm in a homophobic adjacent industry 😐
I grew up with few gay interactions and great parents, so the only big thing that really connected with me was the young crush thing. Somehow, only that and the lesbian grandmas gave me a deep sniff of somehow, someway, this movie is very gay.
ОтветитьWell... obviously. That's why.
Ответить"Its like poetry.... Gay." I cracked up so much
ОтветитьI thought they were brothers... I think i slightly misunderstood the movie.
ОтветитьI was raised in a christian-value phobic environment and I'm trying to get out of those ways of thinking and broadening my perspective. It's interesting, I'm learning a lot and it's kinda fun 😄
ОтветитьWho cares ? its about a fricking minor, ITS KIDS KIDS DONT NEED SEXUAL THEMES. y'all need to be judged.
ОтветитьThere are lessons young people can learn about adult situations without having to be graphic. This metaphor movie is designed to be just that. In a way, the Republicans are partially correct. The liberal progressives ARE GROOMING children but not to be gay, they are being introduced to differences that are to be appreciated, accepted and celebrated because richness in life comes from diversity. If there were no Italians, Mexicans, French, Germans, Indians, we’d not have pizza and spaghetti or other Italian Cuisine, we wouldn’t have tacos and burritos, we wouldn’t have hot dogs and hamburgers and we would not have chicken Tika Marsala. How boring would our menus be? Diversity = Rich quality of life.
As the kids grow older, they have learned not to be homophobic by a simple metaphor movie. I’d like to remind the right leaning people of the political spectrum, to be “woke” means not to be asleep and guided like sheep. We as progressives need to start reminding the the right exactly what “WOKE” means!
❤
ОтветитьI always sort of picked up on the fact Luca was kinda gay, but when you pointed out the metaphors behind some of the dialogue, like the human world and homosexuality? Jesus there’s no way that wasn’t an allegory
ОтветитьCan u do Loki and Mobius
Ответить
