Studying for Exams: Crash Course Study Skills #7

Studying the old way of reviewing flash cards are outdated, and ineffective for three reasons. The first reason is that the term or concept doesn’t tell you what you need to know or a clue. Secondly, it’s ineffective to study the old way because you just have the key term and the definitions or answers on the other side. Last but not least, the third reason is that it’s less effective than the writing prompt and question type of flash cards. Which by the way making flash cards by writing down the questions are helpful, and the fill in the blank type of flash cards also work too and allows you to actively recall. Because active recall allows you to know what the answer is when you read and you’ll be able to recall it better.

Exams are on Monday and I haven’t even opened the textbooks

That awkward moment when ur final exam is in 30 mins

Minutes ago I was studying for an American government final exam I did remember things I studied for last night, and I also repeated the information out loud hoping that's a good way to help remember.

Cheat card is good way. First learn concept then write it down. Then without seeing write down that question's answer or concept. Recalling is the key. Be perfect even if it takes time and just skimming.
