This is good movie. It has that weird late-'70s bad-acid vibe that's totally appropriate to the subject matter. It's worth remembering that for every person who allowed themselves to be taken over by this monster, there were probably dozens who recognized that he was controlling weirdo.

This movie was well played out. In the beginning I was on board with his actions. As it plays out you see the evil grow and I turned on him more and more.

This is not a Guyana's tragedy. It is an American tragedy that happened in my beautiful Guyana. Jim jones and his church members were all from the states. No guyanese was involved.

someone told me that the CIA were in Guyana throughout the whole time, shadowing Jim Jones, he knew about it, and they knew he knew about it.. i don't know if theres any truth to that.. but he was saying that the CIA was basically studying his cult, and maybe even helping him along.
