Thanos never said he would only use the Power Gem.

He said he would cut himself off from the sensory input from the Time, Space , Mind, Soul and Reality gems. Just the sensory input. Not the full power of those gems.

He still uses the power they have, but he no longer knows what his enemies are going to do or when. He isnt omniscient an omnipresent anymore yet retains the omnipotent power.

Going through these old ones again and god these stories were so much better. Also it’s cool to see how far you’ve come, but believe it or not the little mistakes here and there, the soft and almost calm story telling is just the best.
