I really enjoyed this, thank you 😊 x
Ответитьthe birdsong is so lovely to hear - you don't realise how seldom you hear it when you live in town until something like this video
ОтветитьLoved your day in the life thank you 😊🏴💕
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your day. I have followed you for a long time now and its great to see you so happy. Your fridge looks so tidy, not like mine which seems to always have bits and pieces and leftovers looking at me. Stay safe.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your day. It was fun to tag along!
ОтветитьI was so pleased today I dried my washing and friends outside and I have more for tomorrow as it's dry in wales this week.
ОтветитьWhat a lovely video really enjoyed this 💕💕 the pie looked simply scrumptious 😋, gorgeous birdsong and the wood maintenance certainly keeps you fit thank you for sharing xxx
ОтветитьThis was a wonderful video. You all eat so healthy.
ОтветитьThank you for letting us share your day ! I love that Mike has half the amount of drawers compared to you ! Just the same in our house 🤣I love your new wood cooker it looks fab !! I look forward to seeing it working !
ОтветитьLovely vlog Jane. Your tastes and lifestyle are so similar to mine. We previously owned a house in France which we renovated from being completely derelict. We spent 14 years dividing our time between La Mayenne and the UK. My favourite clothes are striped tops, jeans and pretty scarfs and, like you, I too am seriously frugal. I even share your taste in cosmetics!
ОтветитьHello, Namaste from India 🙏🙏🙏. Thank you for sharing. I really really enjoy your videos.
ОтветитьThat was a lovely peaceful day, thank you for taking us with you. Your living room looks cosy with your gorgeous handmade quilts on the sofas.
ОтветитьGreat video! It was interesting to see your paired down wardrobe. A video on how /if you downsizedother possessions on your move to France would be good. I used to follow your blog so it's great to find you again!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your day with us. I enjoyed it. I am also frugal and I enjoy that what I do is also done by others to save money.
ОтветитьHey! Dawn here. Do they not sell veg loose in France rather than packaged. Another difference I noticed to Cyprus is I had forgotten that cheese can come pre-packaged! Here they cut off or slice what you want and then wrap it in special paper (same with meats etc).
We use old flannels for our cleaning clothes - our towels (as we live on a homestead and bring in the dirt) are used at our SIX doors into the house instead of doormats.
We are lucky to be able to dry washing most of the year outside, or else in our sunlounge.
Good advice about looking down at shelves (same for food shopping plus knowing the 'bargins 2 for 1 etc' are not usually the cheapest!
Got excited when you arrived to get the wood - thought you were at a salvage yard!
Yay for another 'only heat with wood' frugal friend! Have you seen how we store our wood (in sideways old roof water tanks)
Lucky the pie wasn't apple ha ha!
(Thumb 126, and already subbed). A really nicely presented video. All the best from Cyprus. Dawn.
A really interesting video as always; a mixed bag! Your little doggies are adorable, bless them! 😎👍🇬🇧
ОтветитьHi Jane, I watched your ads, the video was quite good too, only joking. I too hung out washing this week yayyy
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your day. All that you've done during the day and a warm comfortable lounge at the end. Bliss:)
ОтветитьLoving your videos. I have two multi fuel stoves and get some very odd looks from people when I say I prefer solid fuel. I guess here in the UK its about making one's house saleable , rather than a home and everyone prefers the covenience of being able to flick on a switch to get heat. I have central heating, which was installed in the late 70s, so my guess is its coming up to the end of its shelf life, my plan is to have a solid fuel cooker/water heater in its place when it does eventually die and go the whole hog. Love your quilts, too.
Life in France is much slower paced than the UK - I have worked in France when I was younger - which I wouldn't mind a bit more of in the UK.
Keep up the good work and take care.
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing. I myself am very partial to a stripey top and own a frankly excessive number of scarves!:-)
ОтветитьAnother great video always like to see you
ОтветитьDinner looked delish ,I really enjoyed being with you today made a lovely change from my four walls!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your day ❤
ОтветитьDid you used to have a blog when you lived in England? I used to read a blog called frugal queen a few years ago...wondering if you are the same person 🧐
ОтветитьI enjoyed seeing your day.I subbed.
ОтветитьAbsolutely loved the video
So nice to be frugal xx❤❤
Thanks for sharing, we arrived in France in December and I've found beauty products really expensive! Thanks for your tips, I'll be in Lidl later to do the weekly shop so I'll look out for those creams, the water where we are is very calcium rich and it is drying our skin out a lot!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this
ОтветитьThank you for the video...it was like visiting a friend in France. Subscribed and look forward to watching more videos.
ОтветитьMoney mom recommended you!😊
ОтветитьWhat a lovely video, I liked you comments about clean as you go everyday means not having to spend hours doing it. Since I have lived alone I have found I tidy a little each day but can get away with cleaning once a week. Making savings on my time and savings on cleaning products.
ОтветитьIf I had time I could watch your videos all day long... you are one of my favorite channels now!!!! 🌼🌼🪴🪴🪴
ОтветитьI love the music you use - so evocative 😊 Thank you for sharing your day 🌷
ОтветитьLove sharing your day
ОтветитьI love DITL videos. Yours was a treat. I have a thing for stripey tops too. I don’t have any dressy clothes and keep thinking I need to have one nice skirt in case I need it. Have a good day Jane. ❤️
ОтветитьI have just discovered your videos. Lots of great tips and ideas. I am trying to save so I can retire at 55. I have just turned 50.
ОтветитьThis was a lovely video. Your lifestyle portrays pretty much the way I grew up and the way my mother lived almost up to this day on the east coast of Canada. (She is 95 and just recently moved in with my sister who also lives in a similar fashion.) My husband and I live in the western part of Canada in a rural area and have the oppressive mortgage and payments to prove it! Thank you for the effort you put into your lovely channel 🌸
ОтветитьI add equal parts shampoo and water in a bottle. Stretches my shampoo but doesn't change the outcome of clean hair. I do that with liquid hand soap and dish soap as well (I add even more water if I have a foaming dispenser that I'm reusing, but it will need a teaspoon of glycerin as well). Bar soap is used to a tiny sliver and then the sliver is pressed onto the next bar of soap.
ОтветитьYou have a lovely piece of yard there, do you grow your own veggies at all?
ОтветитьLovely x That pie looked delicious and with all that lovely veg. How do you tie your scarf, it looks really nice x
ОтветитьI absolutely love your channel...I find it very soothing....
ОтветитьLoved this thankyou Jane 💚
ОтветитьAre you ahead, or have in envelopes 3 to 6 months living expenses in case of losing income short term and, if you do, how do you save for that? Just keep under budget each month and roll it into the next month's envelopes?
ОтветитьI'm binge watching all the episodes at the moment, and the funny thing is, I saw the intro, and I immediately knew where you are in Bretagne. I love it there. I live literally ON the border between Belgium and France, In a small town. We live as thrifty as possible so we can retire earlier. We don't have a car, everything is done on foot or bike, and we have a train station very near. The nice thing, the thrifty stores In Belgium And France are just about the same distance from our home, so we have the best of both worlds. Love your show, I watch/listen while I knit the Christmas presents at the moment. Thank you!
ОтветитьEnjoyed watching your day. I got a kick out your mystery pie. I freeze leftovers and we have freezer surprise for dinner at least once a month.
ОтветитьThank you for your company
ОтветитьThank you so much, Jane and Michael! You are helpful!
ОтветитьI really enjoyed it thanks
ОтветитьWe also heat with wood, it’s messy and hard work but people we know give us the wood if they have a downed tree, so, very frugal.
