What a lonely life
ОтветитьTexas is beyond beautiful! Watching Texas country reporter go from the mountains of big bend to the shores of the gulf coast reminds me how blessed I am to call Texas home! I’m from Victoria so Port O Connor is about 35 minutes from me & I go to big bend or the hill country every chance I get mostly just to wander around & enjoy the views they never get old!
ОтветитьWhat is it like in the winter? I need constant heat and lot's of it.
ОтветитьBeautiful, he's blessed but lonely. Btw, please replace the old, torn flag with a new one.
ОтветитьWell if you follow the coast you can actually be at matagorda, they have a public beach that I went to last weekend. It’s very nice! We stayed in bay city which was about 25 min away!
ОтветитьGreat show, but ditch that third wheel of a wahmyn.
ОтветитьCan i please come hide there? Lol ❤
ОтветитьThank you Bob for what you and Kelli do. I enjoy all of your epesodes but this was one of the best. And another thing, Kelli looked really good, you might even say radiant in the video. Her new hair style really suits her. God Bless both of you. Paul
ОтветитьTake down the ripped American Flag and replace it.Disgrace.
ОтветитьStuck in El Paso with no water and just desert and illegals sneaking into our country.Nobody really cares or does anything to stop it.
ОтветитьI can so relate to his need for solitude. right up my alley. I love the gulf of Mexico. Beautiful
ОтветитьCurious how he keeps his 12 volt system and propane replenished. Solar can recharge the batteries, but propane would need to be delivered to the island somehow. Either way, he seems very reaourceful and comfortable with his situation
ОтветитьI agree with Clint. I'm tired of the drama, too!
ОтветитьBest kept secret.
ОтветитьOkay, I’m gonna say it; Kelli is gorgeous and she makes my day.
ОтветитьI'll be the next that goes and never leaves
ОтветитьThis guy desricbes how I have felt for years the usa is a joke and always will be just like every other country on earth society is stupid and not worth living in people only care about money movies sports and pussy and not life it's self
ОтветитьI already plan on being homeless and I'm in the middle of giving my house back to do so
ОтветитьLiving away from people is easier than living around people
ОтветитьGod bless that Man , that's what I want to do but for now I have to keep working .
ОтветитьHe is a squatter and living there illegally. The island was stolen by the FDR administration for military use during WWII, with promise of returning it to the owners. Never happened. Still under federal control. Permanent residence not allowed. Thanks for encouraging illegal swatting.
ОтветитьI became acquainted with Texas Country Reporter through one of those DVD sets. Most all very good. But you got the feeling that after doing hundreds of these, the pickins were getting slim. I haven't watched all, so I'm sure there were some good ones. THIS ONE is a winner because it's unique. Unique Texas setting. Unique man. Only man on an island - Matagordo Bay on one side, a mile to the Gulf on the other side. Be nice if they were all this interesting.
Ответитьtx does not have beaches
Ответитьhe has plenty to eat
ОтветитьI live on the colorado river in matagorda and life is GREAT being away from all the stuff other people have to live with every day.
ОтветитьNice story but inaccurate. This is a private island. It is not Matagorda Island! The gentleman tries to explain that they are on Matagorda Peninsula and not on Matagorda Island when they arrive. While this is very close, Matagorda Island is on the other side of Pass Cavallo from where this was shot. Matagorda Island is jointly owned by US Fish and Wildlife and the Texas GLO. It is currently a wildlife management area and there are no houses like this on the Matagorda island. Sorry, but this story will only confuse people trying to visit the real Matagorda Island.
ОтветитьI'm thinking about purchasing an undivided interest there.
ОтветитьWay cheaper than Californias bay property. Better buy now than late.
ОтветитьClint what a wonderful life you are living. Would like to visit and learn about you as a person and an individual living such a peaceful life . Bless you my friend and enjoy all that is given.
ОтветитьWatching this during Covid-19 and man no doubt he is safe and thankful for being away from people. Thanks for serving & protecting the citizens of Victoria.
ОтветитьThis indeed was a great episode .... My second favorite! My most favorite episode of them all is "The Amazing Skidboot." Definitely a tear-jerker .... Rest in peace, Skidboot!
ОтветитьI lived there for 18 month, while serving in the USAF
ОтветитьConfused about the location is his video the true matagorda island
ОтветитьMy great great great grandfather George S Pentecost was one of Austins 300 , he was given that land ( Matagorda County ) from the Mexican government.
ОтветитьIts a barren wasteland of biting flies snakes and sand. They ruined those coves by building all those houses there. Theres a spot called the cattle pens just east of there. Used to be a great big trout spot in the winter. Totally ruined now by a bunch of houses. Its a shame.
ОтветитьI am happy for this man. Seeing him on the beach, I wonder if he thinks of the final scene of The Shawshank Redemption.
Ответитьhes full of shit there are numerous people live full time there
ОтветитьGorgeous.
ОтветитьWe each need to turn to our loving triune God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ our Savior, and the Holy Spirit for forgiveness and salvation (the only way to avoid hell when we die) and for His guidance through this VERY troubled, temporary world in to eternal life with Him one day. God's word the Holy Bible guides us in to all truth. We have hope in the Lord if we turn to Him.
ОтветитьGo dolphins!!p.oc. (home sweet home) can't wait to get back one day ,some day to all my friends & family there God bless
ОтветитьI was stationed there with the US Air Force for a few months in 1972 in between tours in south east Asia. Wasn't my favorite assignment in the Air Force, but I remember my time there fondly.
ОтветитьI wonder if h got a lot of company after this episode was aired? 😊
ОтветитьWhat I wouldn't give for that life! ❤️ I hope your safe after the storms came through.
ОтветитьI worked for TL Wynn’s Star Brand Cattle Co on Matagorda Island during the summer breaks from Sul Ross State University in the early 80’s. Was more than 10 full time folks living on the Island ranch back then, I loved and miss that Island life.
ОтветитьMatagorda is a boring place to visit. Their beach is pretty nice and not over crowded.
ОтветитьNo dog? He doesn’t have a dog?, why
ОтветитьNot Matagorda Island....
ОтветитьIm sure the mosquitoes are really bad there 🦟
