Great T-shirt
ОтветитьThanks , I got hung up on the Pentatonic Patterns and couldn’t understand why they where different in each position . This is simpler and i guess i can loose the notes that dont belong in minor or major progressions ? 😂
ОтветитьGreat content and advice for beginners. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe E shape G bar cord is a pretty cord to hear playing it arpeggio
ОтветитьIf i wnat to play C major scale where do i start?
The C note on the 5th string?
3 5 (5th string)
2 3 5
2 4 5
3 5 6
3 5
Like this??!
I've got the G Major scale, but, cannot get to 10 times perfect.
You say if you make a mistake, start again. I'm up to 73 times, but can't get to 10. Should I concede defeat.
Does anyone know whats the brand of the guitar he has?
Thank you, Justin! You are great.
Justin, you are one of the best teachers ever! Thank you ❤
ОтветитьHow do we play E and F scale in pattern 1 ?
ОтветитьYou're not fooling anyone, Norm MacDonald!! 😂 Just kidding. Great vid!
ОтветитьWhy don’t you say the letters when you do the G scale. And if your in the key of G do you have to play it in order to play the G scale ? Thank you . Just learning 🤷🏾♂️
ОтветитьI've got the pattern down. I just keep missing the B and high E strings.
ОтветитьThank you for all your efforts and great lessons. Your lessons are a perfect balance. ✌🏼
ОтветитьHi @justinguitar it’s call E-shape G scale because it start from G note(3rd fret) on E(6th) string, correct? So, if we play say A-Shape G scale, we’ll start from G note(10th fret) of the C(5th) string? Thanks!
Ответить👍😉
ОтветитьHi Justin great lesson man really helpful as always now when you said by swapping the root not from the E string (top) of I keep the shapes the same can you play these scales from the A string down if you keep pattern the same
ОтветитьI love that we are opposites. I'm a software developer learning guitar and you are a musician that learnt coding later on (i'm guessing you learnt for your website/app). Analogies still work! Got the first 3 grades done, can't wait to learn 4th!
A question: learning the scale I only know the lowest first 2 strings (and obv the corresponding high e) At what stage should i be trying to learn the middle three string notes? I find it much harder to keep those straight :\
I had such a great time with the beginner guitar course that I went all in on practical theory, and I'm so glad I did. I've always been a musical thinker and took really naturally to putting music together, but I didn't understand the relationships or language around music theory. Thanks for putting these concepts into digestible, easy-to-get language. I always wanted to learn music theory, but I really struggled to find resources that could demystify the high-concept stuff without feeling super intimidated. It's so easy to say "I'll never be a composer so it's not a huge deal if I never get it." Thanks for telling my inner critic that I don't need to go to Berklee to learn theory! <3
Ответитьthank you,ur video helped me alot
Ответить75 with a teenage brain 🧠. Love your teaching 😁
ОтветитьMight sound odd to ask but why f sharp and not just f? Confused
Ответитьcan you show how to make the chords you use for the loop? if we only know basic 1st position chords where do we find the ones you used?
ОтветитьI guess I'm screwed I don't have a pinky.
ОтветитьThank you Justin for recommending me to Major Scale Maestro.
ОтветитьLove it 😀
ОтветитьHi Justin, just wanted to say thanks bud. You’ve really added a new element and diversity to my playing. It really is endless in terms of knowledge a person can learn and achieve. Honestly you need passion and a true willingness to practice and it will come. You’re a good teacher dude and I thank you for making my journey fun and rewarding.
Ответитьdidn't realise the G major scale used F# (F sharp). took me ages to catch on .
ОтветитьHow did you create that chord loop and play over the top of it?
Ответить~Love to you Justin...with you for years....while you were sitting crossed legged on the floor....& now purched your lessons with joy.
ОтветитьHello Justin. I've been playing guitar for about 15 years now and mostly my playing style is self taught. Recently I watched this tutorial video and I refected upon my whole guitar techniques and wonder if I might be doing it wrong this entire time. When playing my guitar I almost never use my pinky except when It's really needed like when I play certain chords. The reason is that since I'm not a very big man and my hands are really not that big, my fingers can't stretch apart as far as you do in the video (well actually they can but it's very uncomfortable and they get hurt quickly). I use my first three fingers almost entire time and use my ring finger to hit the fret where my pinky should be. My question is: Is this a bad habit? Is using exclusively my first three fingers will hinder my ablility to grow as a better guitar player in the future? Thanks in advance and pardon my horrible English since it's not my native language.
Ответитьgreat lesson Justin thank you so much.
ОтветитьI picked up guitar really for 1st time during 1st lock down and still going, thanks to your course!! Thanks v much
ОтветитьWhat tempo should someone be able to attain before going to the next pattern?
ОтветитьHello justin. How a ritmik solo or melody blend to rytem thank's
ОтветитьSuper excellent teacher.
ОтветитьA very beginner question but, why does some of the strings have 2 notes instead of 3? I have seen people teach the major scale in different ways and I get confuse.
ОтветитьThank you sir!
ОтветитьYou sir are an amazing teacher. But I guess that is well known by now 😊
ОтветитьI was at to give up, but after watching this, I’m motivated once again. Thanks 🙏
ОтветитьHi Justin been with you for a few years I started showing my cousin his first scales by golly I think he's starting to really like it I so want to thank you( will be sending you a little something Thanks Again Justin🎸
ОтветитьThis dude is unbelievable. I was searching for a Major Scale Guide and connecting it to the Major Scale and i finally found you. Then i was looking for the Paywall but i couldnt really believe you put all this information and this really nice teaching all for free. Its insane. Whoever watches this and learns make sure to subscribe and like because that is the least we can do for such an inspiring, organized teaching all for free. You are the man !
ОтветитьLove the sound of your guitar. Are you using a pedal?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThank you Justin! Great job teaching this!
ОтветитьThanks Justin for another great lesson - so much to learn. BUT, I really don't see how the scale wraps around the chord as you suggested - is it the finger positioning, or the sound. to the ear or something else altogether?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьIs there an importance in using your pinkie instead of your ring finger? I could do this easier with my ring finger but I want to avoid doing it if it’d be a detriment in my future playing. Thanks Justin!
