i lost my grand father 3 months ago, the nigth before he die i was listening this song, and i had never cry like this nigth and in the next day, my grand father goes to lord´s arms. maybe this song was our goodbye.😞 Now when i hear the song i star crying.

My dad passed away at the end of May after being in hospice care for colon cancer. This song put into words the way I felt while going through that journey. Such a beautiful song and I discovered it at just the right time.

The first time I heard this song, it made me cry, he sings with so much feeling, I remembered experiences with my father who left 2 years ago. Thank you so much for creating this song, it really touched my heart.

I came to the concert thinking that James Blunt was just some typical romance-sunshine-singer. I left being convinced that he has one of the most emotional voices in the world. He is an amazing artist.

My father died this year and I spend a full week watching him slowly fade away and just hoping that he just closes his eyes without more suffering, so my appreciation for this song definately has not gone down. He was unable to exchange words at the end, but we did not have to.
