The Ws in Wim Wenders are both pronounced as Vs. Excellent work, as always.
ОтветитьAlexis Zabe, please.
ОтветитьPhenomenal video! Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьAwesome video, will checkout his work, not really a fan of an over saturated look though... I come from a 16mm and Super8 film background and now shoot digitally... I have no desire "what-so-ever" to go back to shooting on film... Thanks, Moses...
ОтветитьGreat episode! Rodrigo Prieto
ОтветитьDarius Khondji please.
ОтветитьCould you do Manuel Dacosse as well? He's not really much of a veteran, but he has some unique visions.
Ответить70's boobs were pointier
ОтветитьBruno Delbonnel please

ОтветитьVery informative... waiting for similar videos on Subrata Mitra and Ashoke Mehta. I am sure they are also equally unknown. Keep up the good work.
Ответитьthank you so much for this kind of content
ОтветитьWhere can I see a list of these movies u use ?
ОтветитьYou should analize Michael Goi. He plays with abstraction and color lighting.
ОтветитьAnother vote here for Nestor Almendros, native from my city, Barcelona!
ОтветитьYeaaaaah! Thank you so much! I was eagerly waiting for your view on Debie's work! Great video!
ОтветитьNice! Waiting one for Robbie Müller :)
ОтветитьHave you done or can you do Bradford Young? I think his work on "Selma" and "A Most Violent Year" was amazing.
ОтветитьGreat video essay. I know Benoit Debie since his balling work on Spring breakers. One of my TOP pick from 2012.please do Anthony Dod Mantle.
ОтветитьActually Gaspar Noe shots himself all of his films
ОтветитьThis video is superb. I just finished watching Spring Breakers and I believe his decisions behind the camera, especially with composition and lighting carried the film. I wasn't a big fan of the film itself but I had no problem watching it from beginning to end because I was so mesmerized his work. While watching the film, I couldn't help but think of Gaspar Noe's "Love". I wasn't surprise to find out after a quick research that he was the DP of that film and other Gaspar Noe films. Brilliant work. A true inspiration for aspiring cinematographers such as myself.
ОтветитьI didn't think there was so much in depth material for these cinematographers available. Subscribed and thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьAmazing, i love this. ..thanks so much for making this cinematography series.
ОтветитьThanks for your videos! you should do one about ed lachman!
ОтветитьFantastic as always!
ОтветитьI became fascinated with Spring breakers the moment my friend put me on to it. And what struck me the most was the visuals, especially the use of colors.
His style is like a mixture of modern Film Noir and Cyberpunk, it's so unique and refreshing to see.
Anyway, great video.
Thanks for this, I've always admired Benoit's work. I'd be interested in seeing videos about Larry Smith and Karim Hussein. Thanks again.
ОтветитьFantabulous
ОтветитьAlthough not a DP, id love you to do Lars Von Trier, thanks
ОтветитьOne of my favorite cinematographers. Would love to learn more about him.
Ответитьwhats slide lighting i really want to study cinematography so bad thanks for the video mate
ОтветитьGreat episode as always!
But it would be nice, if you link the wikipedia article of the DPs in the description.
Everytime I watch a "Understanding the CInematography of..." I open Wikipedia on my second monitor

ОтветитьThis guy is worthy of an Oscar
ОтветитьCan you explore the cinematography of Barry Ackroyd? Thank you.
Ответитьyou think you will do a video on Anthony Dod Mantle
ОтветитьDeeper analysis, less advertising please.
ОтветитьIt would be interesting to see him work with Nicolas Winding Refn
ОтветитьI wanna watch every film by him
ОтветитьJust saw climax.. it’s so beautifully shot!!
ОтветитьDo Bill Pope please.
ОтветитьIf you like Emmanuel Lubezki, I would love to see his work analyzed
ОтветитьHe and Gaspar make one of the best teams!
ОтветитьVery cool video and now I want to track more of his films down. Would be interested to see a video on Wally Pfister.
