I am 1 feet tall and my road bike is size 54 pls
By the way, I'm not really concerned with aerodynamics as I am commute efficiency. It's how I haul my groceries and what not.
ОтветитьMountain bike fit. That's all I have are mountain bikes with, I believe they're called touring stems. The whole thing, from the top of the head tube to the handlebar clamp, is 5 inches, then the handlebars themselves rise up a couple of inches, then angle back a bit. I just need some ideas to maybe tweek the adjustment some. Some rides, it seems ok, some make me believe there's something off.
ОтветитьI am trying to help a new rider who gets elbow pain. The first thing I looked at were his shoulders, which appeared to be relaxed, and if he would keep a bend in his elbows (he did). He is young and fit and otherwise, never gets elbow pain
ОтветитьI have much pressure on my arms what this mean?
Ответитьgeez the size of this man's nuts! I'm sorry, I can't help myself but comment
ОтветитьYeah, I still haven't figured out the right fit for me when it comes to cycling, I cant have the seat as high as you guys have it, I Have the seat and handlebars level, My legs are shorter and my torso is longer. I have a 28-29 inch inseam but I am 5"9.
My hands always go numb, I have tried adjusting the seat forwards or backwards and nether does it. I am unable to hold my self up with my core to ease the weight from my hands.. I feel like I will fall forward. after about 20 to 30 mins into a ride my hands go tingly and then eventually numb even when and if I move and adjust my hands all over the handlebars.... Gloves so far do not help....I have only tried 2 of them, one from Walmart and then the other by pearl Izumi....
Thank you for this short explanation! It was thorough and explained things better than in any other video. You explained the why of wanting the reach longer or shorter or why the layback should be longer or shorter. That helped me to understand everything. Thank you.
ОтветитьYeah all these vids are about performance and aerodynamics. What about the rest of us who just want to cruise? I don't care about racing. My bike has flat bars and I don't want to lean way forward like a racer. I will probably never wear cleats. I'm not sure if anything in this vid applies to me. Or does it?
ОтветитьHoly crap, videos from 2013 are already starting to look like home video quality mom had growing up

ОтветитьExcersice suggestions for the beginners
ОтветитьQuite innocently, is bike fit a concern for racers or bikes with drop bars only? No one appears to tackle the question with flat handlebars. Or is it that that bikes with flat handlebars come fitted with the correct fit as stock?
ОтветитьDoes the same principle apply on a folding bike? Im planning to convert mine into dropbars.
ОтветитьIf the bike is size 50cm then your recommended size is 56, Can you just add 6cm to the stem?
ОтветитьGreat Video
Ответитьall those pro's like those long stems.
ОтветитьYou look so... young! Thankfully, this great, short tutorial offers timeless, practical advice. Much appreciated as I dial in my new gravel bike (Obed Boundary). And don't worry, Si, you're still way younger and faster than me!
ОтветитьWhat can I do when I have pain in my wrists
ОтветитьNice presentation ;)

ОтветитьI don't know what kind of exotic bicycle that is but I've only ever seen bicycle seats that go up and down not forward and backward.
ОтветитьThe rightful technician opportunely decay because land lally pretend till a ritzy dolphin. tame, heartbreaking australian
ОтветитьIn the old days (1982), they said that your handlebars should block your vision of the front hub. Every bike I’ve had professionally fit since then ends up putting me...guess where... in a position where the handlebars block my view of the front hub.
ОтветитьSeven Years later and found this gem
Great tips
Nice
ОтветитьAmazes me that people spend over £100 on a bike fitting.
ОтветитьCan I ask Simon how tall r u?
Ответитьwell what are some good bike shorts that doesn't show your Ding Dong like yours. LOL
ОтветитьHi. Im an amateur cyclist. I’d done 1000km in cycling. But last week i got problems with my knee until it stopped me to even pedalling anymore. Its hurt at my PCL. Is it because of my bike fitting?
ОтветитьI bought a cheap (good) bike off ebay. I've been tampering with seat height but still get lower back pain. How do I set up correctly without having to go to a shop (I live in the middle of nowhere and I'm skint)
ОтветитьI have size 52 road bike ..and iam alway have back pain ..what shoud i do with the bike. Thank you
ОтветитьHow close together should your hands be on the bike handlebars? Talking about every day bikes...should it be shoulder-wide apart? Many of the bars are longer and the hands have to reach a bit more out, further apart from each other. What do you think about that?
ОтветитьThis is basic as you mention. I also think a most important item that is overlooked is crank length. This will alter seat height, layback. So crank length should be considered 1st.
Ответитьhi as a newbie should I get a endurance bike or hybrid
ОтветитьBeen getting elbow pain with my new road bike! Don’t know why
ОтветитьHi, if my height is 175 cm, does bike frame size 54 fit me?
ОтветитьCan I ask you sir, why I always slide my butt in front of a saddle? Is my reach to far from r the handle bar? Do I need to adjust my saddle closer to the handle bar?
ОтветитьI e just watched this post
I've also just posted a video on community of myself blastings a bkool time trial
A few people have commented on how uncomfortable I look but nothing could be Futher from the truth I'm up to 200 k a week with some pretty hefty climbs (the hill of shame haven't made it up yet)
Now I continue to tweek my bike but should I spend money on a bike fit when I'm enjoying my riding and I'm not feeling any pain and I'm constantly improving
