The terminology you are using is incorrect but I understand why you call it this way because of your core audience. A producer does not have to be the same as SONGWRITER. Those get 50% not the producer.

So, if one of the artists uses one your beats and blows without leasing it but keeps in touch with you. Is that stealing??

why don’t make a video, how you can do it yourself with a label, A&R,Publisher talking 50% of your royalties

You can be your own publisher and get a lawyer to look into the royalties by playlist, stream etc !!!!!!

Only point I would argue is Mike talking about signing a deal too early and then landing a big record. Wouldn't this make recouping easier thus giving you leverage for a new deal? I feel like no one talks about how you can sign multiple pub deals throughout your career if you consistently do good

Signed away rights for 2 cents per record 😂 granted, the artist was taking care of me on the back end cause I was an in house producer, but MAN! Get your paperwork right fellas, nothing last forever and those songs have over 200M streams now. Great info brother!

What is the Order from start to finish if you are an artist that’s just woke up and wanted to put out music??…. Do u start with copyright, distribution, publishing royalties writing the song?? Should u copy right before u record the song ?? What’s the order from start to finish?

This will help but you won’t make that much money off a % of streams the artist them selves can’t even live off 1m streams on spotify that’s only 4k then the % you take is a 100 or 150 plus the other platforms maybe a couple 1000
