Liked the look at first but now around my part of london their in black and being used as taxi cabs , loads of them .Also the Tec stuff is poorly designed and lags like a cheaper Chinese car .As a 45 thousand £ family car it's put me right off .

That high back seat Is do full height persons can be comfortable.
The ID,4 is same platform as Mach E, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini Porsche, Volvo, Jaguar and Rover SUV EV products.
Making it's price tag very nice in comparison.
I compared it to the Volvo and it's a better more comfortable package, although nearly identical.
The Volvo had leather and more luxury trim, but was not as Comfortable front or back to the ID, otherwise identical body and space inside.

Have a 2023 ID4 AWD Pro S I like the looks and the getup and go. Have had to have car towed in 3 times. Had battery problems they replaced a control panel for the 12 volt system. Service is terrible. White Allen had car for 45 days on one of the trips for service. Electrify America is a lost cause for those living in Ohio. If I had to do over would have purchased a Tesla. Will say the 1-800 Volkswagen service did work well for getting a tow truck, though it did require some work dealing with the call center. If you have owned a previous VW appears to be a problem, this could have been due to the dealership.

I just got my 2023 ID.4 Pro RWD on Saturday. As I started driving my car home to work and vice versa, I have noticed a rattling sound on the passenger side. is this a known issue? it's like the passenger side door is rattling with stones inside, or some rocks are hitting the door from outside (of course im driving in a freeway). no issues how the car run. but it's super annoying to hear this rattling sound.

Prefer Tesla Model Y. The whole ID serie is way too expensive, has software issues, poor battery management, etc.

What’s with so many of these car reviewers talking with the same weird cadence and ending every sentence sounding like a robot?

Stay away from the Chattanooga built ones. They are junk. No better built than other american made cars (dodge, ford, chevy). Garbage workmanship which we all have come to expect from USA.

Come on Autobytel. This model tested is not a 2023. It's 2022 or even earlier. The armrests are the horrible stick like things (that Honda is using also on the pilot and passport). The 2023 has a full center armrest, different cupholders, wireless charging station etc. And this was posted 11 days ago. Shame.

This car parked fully in my local dealer's lot. VW dealer asking $45k MSRP + $5k dealer add-ons + $10k markup. Pretty much as same price as a BMW X5. Just wondering what sucker would buy these?

The title of the video says 2023 but the vehicle being reviewed is either a 2022 (or 2021) judging by the armrest design, as the 2023 US-built cars from VW's Chattanooga, TN plant have a completely different center console and armrest design. The laggy response time of the infotainment system is probably due to an older software (pre-v3.1) that hasn't beeen updated yet. Having said that, I do agree that the capacitive touch of the buttons on the climate controls is annoying and a major oversight on VW's part.

Very odd not to mention the Tesla Model Y..

the ID 4 in the video is 2022 or 2021 (not 2023). The infortainment system software seems not updated yet (laggy).

From a personal perspective this is a horrible car reliability wise. One of my friends bought his in December and it’s been in the dealership three times for excessive repairs to the point now where VW of America has finally agreed to buy the car back.
