No mention of the laminated windows which really help keep noise down, you have to get to S class in MB to get that
ОтветитьI bought this car and love it. ❤️ Tremendous vehicle
ОтветитьShe called it a G70 at the end. 😀
ОтветитьI love Lyn's reviews. I watch hers first over everyone else's.
ОтветитьShe called it a G70 at the end. 🥴
ОтветитьWow. Your Wrong. . turbo or V8.. you use premium gas. Duh.
ОтветитьActually 3.3T sport( the one you are reviewing)has 19 inch wheels. The base has the 18 inch wheels.
ОтветитьGARBAGE CAR !! YOU WILL NEED A FIRE EXTINGUISHER REAL SOON!
ОтветитьThis is nice. But I think I like the refreshed G80 better. Still I might take the 2019/2020 Kia K900 over this. Good review, Lyn!
ОтветитьI traded in my BMW for this. I still can't believe I own this!
ОтветитьI’m surprised no one ever mentions how smooth any luxury car rides ,we live in the world of horsepower and sport.
ОтветитьDamn a V8??
ОтветитьNext time have her dress up
ОтветитьI am in the luxury car business, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to "betray" my brand for this vehicle. There are 2019 G80s with less than 35k miles selling in the mid-$20s near me. That is incredible value for money. I've mostly owned German cars (in a 428i right now) but after just a couple years of ownership they begin having problems and you pay way too much for the badge. I like how understated the G80 is.
Ответитьi love all the genesis models i want one
Ответитьpompeii
ОтветитьI’d rather get this over the Germans. Especially since I keep my cars longer than 3 years
ОтветитьThat interior with the carbon fiber accents and two tone black/ivory leather is elegant. The Germans still have a slight lead in styling, but gotta say Genesis is closing the gap at a pretty fast rate.
ОтветитьYou titled this video Genesis G80 Road Test and Review, but it was actually for the G80 Sport, and they are not the same. Did you not realize that the sport model is different?
ОтветитьGo look at a lincoln continental. Its not close
ОтветитьThis woman has a really good writing style.
ОтветитьI like how it doesn't require premium fuel unless you get the V8. I also like the 3 engine choices Iean towards naturally aspirated engines over turbos and superchargers
ОтветитьWow.. just Wow
ОтветитьSo nobody's gonna mention how fine Lyn is?
Ответить백인여성분이 가이드하니 재밋습니다^^
ОтветитьHawt.
ОтветитьNote: 10yr powertrain warranty is not transferrable
Ответитьniceeeeeee car!
Ответитьwhich one is better g80 or es300h?
ОтветитьNO FOLDING REAR SEATS THOUGH!!??!
ОтветитьNothing easier on the eyes than a beautiful woman reviewing a beautiful car
ОтветитьWhy did you say g70 at the end of the video???
ОтветитьG80>>>E class
ОтветитьYou know it's funny. Lincoln is doing the same thing now with their luxury lineup and gets criticism for it, while Genesis gets praise.
ОтветитьErratum: G80 Sport wheels are 19 inch, not 18 inch.
ОтветитьWhy pay double the price for an AMG when AMG is only worth while on the track. How often do we really punch a 0-60 in 3 to 4 seconds on public roads. Unless we want tickets every day.
ОтветитьShe forgot to mention the sport gets a more aggressive front and the 5.0 doesn't come in as sport.
ОтветитьWhy does no one ever mention the heated rear seats?
ОтветитьI'm surprised that out of all the automotive channels that review cars, KBB is the only one that at no point mentions the insane depreciation of the Genesis brand. That same G80 3.3T Sport that you were reviewing at an MSRP of $58,745 is worth in the mid $30K after just one year, that's a depreciation of over 40%.
This car is a great deal as a used 1-2 year vehicle, but to buy this brand new would be a very bad decision.
Car looks even cooler with Lyn Woodward walking by it.
ОтветитьDesign of exterior is nice.
ОтветитьLooks like parts of Mercedes, bmw, caddy, audi, alfa romeo and kia all rolled into 1 car.
Screams identity crisis.
Hate the interior
ОтветитьThe analog, man, it doesn't screams classy to me, but old style that is starting to become meaningless. I confess my feelings can be quite uncommon, but how many people reads analog clock for time anymore? True, the analog may not be meant for time, but only decoration. But even as decoration it feels outdated rather than being a piece of cool antique. It could be me who's washed by too many new tech. But my feelings could be shared by more than just me.
ОтветитьMy girlfriend owned 3 different G80's. A great, solidly built car.
But a few minuses: Lexicon sound system? Good, not great. Also, (as of 2018) rear seats do NOT fold
flat. A deal breaker for me! Sometimes I need that 'extra'
space that a smaller trunk doesn't provide. Otherwise a nice car.
They are nice cars. I loved my 2015 genesis. I bought a 2019 g80 sport and had to bring it in after 2 weeks. The trunk spare tire well was filling with water. It took 2 days to get that sorted out. Then with 741 miles on the car it dies on the highway at 75mph. It took over a week to get it back. The fuel pump ecu died. The big problem was service from the dealer or lack thereof. They never had a genesis loaner once I was given a base model sonata with no options then a base santa fe with 0 options.
The person assigned to my case from Genesis NA Jin was even more useless. She asked what I was looking for as a resolution. I told her I would need to see what is wrong with the car. She lied to me multiple time saying that theh were flying a tech out from California to look at the car. This was not true the dealer ship talked to someone on the phone. When I finally got the car back i called and she said that the tech was arriving that day. I told her the car was already fixed she just said ok good I will close the case. Before I could say anything she hung up. Then I found out that the tow company that genesis sent had damaged the car. She told me if o wanted to have it fixed I would have to pay and then go after the tow company. That is not acceptable they should have covered it. I called back and left voicemails asking for a callback and she never responded. This is not acceptable from a luxury brand. I ended up trading in a brand new car and taking a loss to wash my hands of the situation.
Hi Lyn, sorry, I want to comment again, You all, at KBB are doing an excellent job at what you do. It makes me wonder how those of us who remember the days prior to the Internet, where our purchasing involved reading magazine......yes, MAGAZINES! Is that even still a word? Those simple days involved us turning the key instead of pushing a button, or as Micah showed, tell our car to get ready via our cell phone. I also have to remember that you all are (KBB people) helping mostly the younger crowd. I almost fell off my chair when Micah mentioned a Honda del Sol, and an Isuzu Trooper. I had both, and Isuzu back in that day, was a great vehicle. I also had their pickups.
I appreciate the fact that you all need to walk that fine line of unbiasedness, ignoring your own passions (or lack there of) for a vehicle. I haven't watched enough of your reviews, but we all know what cars Micah likes and doesn't like, regardless of what he says......sometimes it's simply decided on the placement of his chapstick.
Great review Lyn. I think you woke up James. I am a little confused about the "class" that Hyundai fits into. Other sites, put the Lexus ES against this model. I'm not the pro, you are. Do engine choices help define the "class?" We are forever inundated with "best in class," yet seldom really know what that is. For example, I tried to comp a Sonata, which is considered a "Large" car to a Camry, which we all know is not. Yet online, that is who the professionals want to compare to. I have test driven the car in your video and it is truly wonderful. I also drove the new S90 and I loved it, but I'm partial to Volvo anyway. My point is that the Korean cars have managed to alter their specs enough to confuse people as to their equivalents. I don't fault them for that. I drive a Lexus IS, yet do not think it is comparable to the BMW 3-series. The initial BMW experience (forgetting for a moment, the lack of reliability and resale value) is outstanding.. I find them increasingly bloated with too much tech that when it misbehaves, affects the whole car. Again, forgetting all that, the "driving experience" is like no other. I wouldn't buy a Mercedes E-Class due to reliability, yet one can't beat the luxury one feels even minus the nameplate. I'd hardly put an E=Class against a BMW driving experience, and as for reliability.....I'll let you flip the coin. lol You all at KBB do a great job helping us dissect our options, but sometimes the more we put our options under a microscope, the more confused we become.
